Witching Season (2 person/ spot saved for Tyrial )

Alex:

I looked at her, my eyes silently begging for her to wait until later. She could ask me anything she wanted, but for now I needed to get us out of here and away. The blush didn't leave my face, it stayed no matter how hard I tried to get rid of it. I continued to pull her along as I moved quickly away from the cave and the guards. I wanted to reach the woods before we stopped for the night, and I could see them getting closer.

Freya-
When he didn't answer me I decided to just keep quiet. As we walked I looked up at him from time to time. His blush was still there, which I thought was kind of strange but a bit amusing at the same time. He looked a bit young to be a knight and I could tell he wasn't one for talking much. Soon we were in the forest and we kept walking a bit.

Alex:

I stopped us in the shelter of a large tree. "Lets stop here for the night." I set down my backpack and let go of her hand. I immediately started to gather wood so we could have a fire for the night.

Freya-
I nodded and started to help him a bit by picking up some wood. We placed it all together and I wasn't to sure about trying to start a fire and not colapsing or something, so I just sat down at waited for him to make it. If he really needed me to, I would light it but I wasn't to sure about me having enough engrey after it. So I sat at the bottom of the tree and laid against it. It felt so much better outside and the world looked brighter even though it was night.

Alex:

I pulled some flint out of my pocket and quickly got a fire started using the steel edge of my knife. I sat down next to the fire and digging into my pack I pulled out some food. I offered it and a skin of water to the girl.

Freya-
Looking at it my body cried for water and some real food and I quickly took it and started to eat and drink. I hardly even chewed the food before eating my share and I had to quickly stop myself before I made myself sick and drank to much water. I wiped my mouth off with the back of my hand as I handed it to him. "Thank you." I said softly and looked back at the fire, feeling better than eariler with only gruel in my stomach.

Alex:

I took it back before setting it next to her. From my backpack I pulled out a small blanket and wrapped it around her. "Get some sleep, you could use the rest. I'll wake you up at dawn." I promised her softly as I sat down again and stirred the fire.

Freya-
I looked up at him and settled down a bit. "Before I go to sleep, tell me why you're king wants me." I said. I held the blanket a bit closer to me, getting cozy for the first time in awhile.

Alex:

I let out a soft breath before shrugging. "Admittedly, I have no idea. I am simply under orders." I looked at her sadly then said gently. "Now go to sleep...oh and my name is Alex."

Freya-
I sighed softly and closed my eyes, starting to feel tired. "And I'm Freya. It's nice..to meet you...Thank you for saving me.." I said, my words getting softer and softer as I started to fall asleep. A few moments later I was asleep.

Alex:

"Freya..." I said softly to myself, repeating her name. I smiled a bit before going back to being on watch. I would wake her up in the morning and then we could continue on once again.

Freya-
When I opened my eyes it was just turning light and a small fog was rolling in. It wouldn't be hard to travel though, and I was sure it wouldn't be long until it faded. Yet, the first rays of day wasn't what woke me, it was the fairy that was tugging on my hair. The thing about witches were their eyes didn't only glow when warning or using magic, but the green eyes I had also symbolized that I could see things that others couldn't, that is unless the magical benig showed themselves. My eyes kind of wanted to close again but I kept them open and looked at the fairy and when he saw me he quickly flew away, surprised that I could see him I guess. I yawned and then smiled a bit as I watched him go and then stood up and streched. Now I felt more refreshed and energetic!

Alex:

I turned to look at Freya in surprise. "Your up earlier than I thought you might be. I was going to give you a while longer, you looked to peaceful to wake up." I stretched absently as I got to my feet.

Freya-
"It's alright. I didn't mind waking up, the fairy flew away though before I could say anything to him." I said as I looked from him then back at the forest. "I guess I kind of startled him. But he really shouldn't be messing with people's hair." I said softly, more to myself than to him.

Alex:

I looked at her in confusion. Fairy? What was she talking about. I shook my head pushing aside the thought and instead offered her food and my water skin again. "Eat up." I said softly.

Freya-
I took it with a smile and started to eat a bit once again, but this time I actually chewed, unlike last night. I gave it back to him once we were done then looked around the forest. "So which way are we headed?" I asked softly.

Alex:

"North, pretty much always north." I said putting away the food and getting to my feet again. I offered a hand down to her so I could help her to her feet.

Freya-
I looked up at him as I took his hand and stood up as well. "Alright then. Lets get a move on." I said and let my hand slip out of his as I moved towards the north. I was starting to get curious on why King Nero wanted me there. Alex didn't know at all and I'm sure no one else knew about it either.

Alex:

I followed after her, feeling safer now then I had yesterday. I yawned quietly, but pushed aside my tiredness and continued on. It would take a while to get her to my king, but it was what I had been tasked with...I would have to do my best if nothing else. I would die to save her and bring her safely to my king.

Freya-
"Don't think things like that. People will think I treatened you to keep me safe for something." I said, letting out my thoughts before I could try and keep my mouth shut. Sadly, being curious about him got the better of me. I tried to read his memories, to see the kind of person he was, but I read his thoughts....Oops.

Alex:

I looked at her in confusion and surprise. "But its my duty to do everything I can to protect you..." I said softly. I looked down at the ground then back at her. "But how did you know I was thinking things like that?" I had been told I had an open face when I wasn't fighting, so could that have been it?

Freya-
I looked at him with a guilty look on my face. "Well...I sort of read your thoughts, but I swear I didn't mean to do it." I said and then looked back in front of me. "The only thing you need to protect me from are humans. I don't want to hurt them, but being a witch they'll hurt me....So, right now you don't have to worry about protecting me. There's no one out here but us." I said. I could fight demons....sort of, and I could keep bigger creatures away from us no problem but I didn't want to hurt anything, especially humans. Though I didn't want to harm them, they would harm me. Even though I trusted them, or tried to, they sometimes scared me. It was like they were sometimes even more evil than they say witches are to be.

Alex:

"I'm sorry my kind is so....idiotic." I said after a few moments. I was looking ahead of us, studying the trail we were on. "I wish I could say that not all humans are cruel, but unfortunetly all of us are in some way."

Freya-
"I know. All beings are like that, it's not only humans. I think it's just some are more cruel than others in their own ways. Everything is the same." I said, trying to make it sound like humans weren't bad beings all together. They had their problems like everything else.
