hm weird me....hell yes (open)

My ears twitched and I sat there looking at the two of them. I didn't know what to make of all of this. All I knew is that I rather enjoyed having Jemma close by like this.

Jemma:

“Sara, can you..?” I asked motioning down to Demi. She nodded and came to scoop the girl up taking her into the other room. I heard the child burst into giggles before the door closed. “What do you think?” I asked quietly trying to read his eyes.

I rubbed my face before letting out a soft breath. "I dont know....I dont get what just happened, not a single part of it." I admitted softly.

Jemma:

I pulled my knees up to my chest and hugged them. “I don’t get any of it. The whole morning has been a confusing blur.” I told him as I stared at the ground. I really wanted to ask if it mattered to him that she was likely mine and Adam’s daughter, but I couldn’t bring myself to say it so I chewed on my lip instead.

I looked at her face and said softly. "I promised I wouldn't leave you again. No matter who Demi really is." I whispered lifting her chin as I guessed what she was thinking.

Jemma:

I blinked rapidly to keep my eyes from watering. “Or how she came to be?” I asked in a whisper. I had told Kai off for thinking it, but I really wasn’t sure.

Michael:

I nodded. "Or who the parents are. I want to be with you regardless silly." I whispered before kissing her briefly.

Jemma:

I kissed him back for a second then hugged him, resting my head on his shoulder. The sound of laughter from both Demi and Sara filtered through the closed door. I smiled slightly, listeing to it. It stopped abruptly from Sara and she called out in a strange voice, “Ah, Michael? Jemma? You might want to come in here.” I jerked away from Michael and hurried to the door.

Michael:

I had been happy for once but then she had pulled away and I got sad for a moment before I realized I was lucky enough just to get that so I got to my feet and followed after her.

Jemma:

I pushed the door open and paused uncertain why Sara had called. Demi was sitting on the ground grinning at Sara who sat with her. Sara was clearly shocked. And after a moment I realized why. Sticking out from the brown ringlets was an ear… a fox ear. My jaw dropped. I fell to my knees next to them and touched the ear the parted her hair to see another one pinned down much the same way I had done with Michael’s ears when we had gone out in public.

I stood there frozen in place my jaw dropped as I stared at the little girl. My mind didn't know what to make of what had just happened, nor did the rest of me. so I just stayed still.

Jemma:

I just sat completely stunned. Demi giggled at me cocking her head to the side. It took me a few minutes to recover but when I did I looked over my shoulder at Michael, my cheeks slowly turning bright pink.

I stayed there stunned but as I felt Jemma's eyes on me I turned to look at her and my cheeks started to heat up.

Jemma:

I turned back to Demi unable to look at Michael for long. “Well you’re just one bombshell after another aintcha?” I pulled her into a hug while she giggled some more.

Michael:

I sat down next to Jemma my head still trying to puzzle all of this out. I didn't know what to make of this and I probably never would, but the implications....the implications of this....

Jemma:

“I don’t get it.” Sara mumbled. “Well if you did then you’d be ahead of all of us.” I said. “Hold on.” She hopped up and left the room. She came back with her laptop. “I’ve got an Idea.” Her hands blurred on the keyboard then she turned it around with a picture of a white coat on the screen. I frowned. “Demi?” She asked. The child looked up at her then the screen with no reaction.

Michael:

I hesitated before wrapping an arm around Jemma and whispering in her ear. "I dont know what to make of this."

Jemma:

I sighed. “Believe me, neither do I.” I said softly. “Don’t you get it? She was never at the school. You reacted more than she did.” Sara said after showing her a few more pictures. I blinked at her actually impressed that she had come up with that. “That makes even less since.”

Michael:

I rubbed at my eyes tiredly. "I dont know how much more of this I can take..."

Jemma:

“Lets just not think about it right now, Okay?” I kissed his cheek. “I’ll put together breakfast, or lunch, whichever it is.”

Michael:

I nodded and got to my feet to help her up.

Jemma:

I laced my fingers with his once I was on my feet and squeezed lightly. Demi grabbed my other hand.

I let her lead, keeping my hand in hers. I wondered if I tried kissing her again, if it would go better than it had the last time....

Jemma:

I let them both go once we were in the kitchen so I could see what we had. “Well, there is ravioli and, um, not much else.” I said after inspecting the pantry. “I’ll have to make a run to get stuff soon.”

I nodded. "Yeah." I considered something as I stepped up and hugged her from behind. "When we go out to grab food, what say we go on a date."
