Jemma:

I came back after a little bit and loaded the stuff into the backpacks. “Happy?” I asked.

I nodded and went up on two legs to lick her cheek before settling in to be ready to run.

Jemma:

I wiped my cheek on my sleeve then pulled my lacked off, letting my wings unfurl out. “I’ll meet you there.” I said then jumped up into the air. It was a little harder to fly in the rain, but I liked the challenge.

I barked at her before taking off running.

Jemma:

I landed on the porch before he got there and shook my wings out. I opened the door and peaked inside to see Sara curled up on the couch sleeping with Demi sitting next to her. “Mama!” The little girl jumped up and ran to me, hugging my wet legs.

Michael:

I panted and sat on the porch, dripping wet and soaked through.

Jemma:

I went to get towels with Demi tagging along behind me. I rubbed my wings then let my hair down and rapped it in a towel before going to Michael with a couple extra.

I sneezed and shivered in my human form again. "For all my ability to put out body heat...I'm still freezing..."

Jemma:

I smiled. “Come here.” I said as I draped a towel around him then hugged him. Demi followed suit by latching on to his leg.

I hugged her back, letting my shivers subside from the warmth of her body.

Jemma:

“Let’s get inside.” I said getting the groceries to take them to the kitchen.

I nodded and let her lead us in. I glanced towards the blanket outside that I had been sleeping on before going into the kitchen.

Jemma:

I put all the groceries away then knelt down to Demi. “Pretty sure you need to go to bed little one.” I said and poked her belly making her giggle.

Michael:

I smiled and nodded. "Off with you! To bed little kit!" I said scooping her up and putting her up on my shoulders.

Jemma:

She laughed and giggled loudly. “Shhh! You’ll wake Sara up. In fact you might as well put her in Sara’s bed since she’s not using it.” I told him.

I nodded and took her to sara's room and tucked her in. I kissed her forehead good night before leaving quietly. I went back into the kitchen and hugged Jemma from behind.

Jemma:

“I had fun tonight.” I said with a smile putting my arms over his.

Michael:

"So did I." I replied softly kissing her neck softly before tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear.

Jemma:

I pulled away suddenly. “I, uh, need to change. And um,” I pulled at his wet shirt. “You do too.”

I blinked and nodded. "Alright."

Jemma:

I went to my room and pulled my wet clothes off then changed into what I was going to sleep in. I shook my wings out again but they were already dry.

Michael:

I changed clothes and went out onto the porch, looking out into the rain.

Jemma:

I pulled on a short dark blue robe and tip toed into the hall. “Michael?” I asked softly.

Michael:

I went back inside wrapped in the blanket and grabbed a glass of water.

Jemma:

“Michael?” I asked again in the living room. I walked over to Sara and touched her leg. She was ice cold. I pulled the blanket from the back of the couch over her and tucked her feet it.
