Adam laughed. “You don’t know her. You know how she is now. You don’t know what is hidden deep down..” He smirked at her and she just shook her head. Did she have that much faith in him that he wouldn’t tell? “Well if everyone is agreed.” He said in a snide tone as he knelt next to the boy. “See you at the house baby.” He said then disappeared with Kai.

Jemma:

I gasped softly then cursed. “Come on.” I said to Michael as I opened my wings.

Michael:

"I dont know how you can trust a man that tortured his own sister for fun. The reason Kat is so easy and keeps from doing anything people dont want is because of Adam. I dont think Kat ever left three rooms. The room Adam kept his toys and playthings, the center of the school getting drained of energy, or the hospital because her brother put her there. I know you care about Kai, but is this really the right way to do this." I asked Jemma softly before slipping into my little fox form.

Jemma:

I bit my lip hard but didn’t say anything just picked him up and zipped him up in the jacket. I didn’t realize he would probably be able to hear my heart pounding. “Wait- his sister?” I asked midflight.

Michael:

"Yes, they are both part angel. Kat is half cat, half angel. Throwing Kara's life force into gave her the wings. The angel part of her is what gives her control over energy. Before Kara got added into the mixture Kat could create wings out of energy and fly that way." I said softly with a shrug.

Jemma:

“That explains a lot.. I never believed him…” I sighed and ran my fingers though his fur. “Michael, you know I love you, with all my heart. Whatever happens, I’m always going to love you. Please don’t forget that, and don’t hate me..” I murmured.

I looked up at her in confusion. "What are you going to do?" I asked her nervously.

Jemma:

I sighed heavily. “Please just don’t hate me.” I whispered again before landing on the front porch.

Adam reappeared in the room Kat was. “Get out.” He told the other girl. She listened to him surprisingly and left with wide eyes.

Michael:

"I could never hate you Jemma, I need you too much for that." Putting emphasis on the word need.

Jemma:

I didn’t look at him as I unzipped the jacket and set him down. “Mama!” The door opened and Demi ran out. I automatically leaned down as she threw herself into my arms. I picked her up and hugged her tightly while fishing a few pins out of my pocket.

Michael:

I watched Jemma, not liking what I knew was going to happen. It made me feel sick to my stomach, but I didn't want to say anything.

Jemma:

I set Demi down and pinned her ears under her hair. She touched it but I grabbed her hand. “No, you have to leave it, baby, okay?” I said softly. She nodded, her curls bouncing. Adam could believe whatever he wanted about her, as long as she was safe.

I went and rested my paws on Demi's stomach, licking her cheek. I shot a meaningful glance to Jemma before pouncing at Demi to play. To distract her.

Jemma:

I nearly smiled at the sound of Demi’s bell laughter. She fluttered her little wings happily and ran in little circles. I wanted to stay and watch forever, but time was running out…

Adam:

I laid Kai down next to Kat then cot to work restoring her energy.

Michael:

I felt sick and sad, but I forced out the happiness, to play with Demi. That way she wouldn't notice what was going on.

Will
I walked out with Demi when Jemma and Michael got back. I look at them, obviously worried about everything. "Whats the verdict." i ask quietly walking over to Jemma. "26 looks destroyed..."

Jemma:

I chewed on my nails again, a habit I had broken years ago. “Yeah.” I said quietly with a nod. “Yeah, she is. But it will get better. Adam should be able to fix it..” I told Will. The front door opened again and Sara came out. She looked exhausted and miserable. Much the way I guessed I looked like. She hugged me tightly, pressing her face into my shoulder and just shook. She didn’t cry, which impressed me. “It’ll be okay.” I murmured, hugging her back.

Adam brought Kats temperature back to normal and restored her to perfect health. “Katrina, wake up.” heI said and shook her shoulder.

Kat:

I shifted and opened my eyes. When I saw Adam standing over me, I felt a cold shiver run through me. I laid there looking up at him, unsure of what he wanted. Even as I thought that, my mind felt like it was barely together, moving, and thinking were colossal efforts.

“Come on.” He pulled her up, forcing her to stand on her feet and holding her shoulders so she couldn’t turn around to see Kai’s body, she didn’t know he was dead yet, even if she could feel it. “This is going to hurt.” He warned before putting his hand on the side of her face so he could go into her mind and fix the problem. She wouldn’t be completely better until Kai was alive, but he could make it so she could help him.

I flinched under his hand, shaking at his touch, I was waiting for the blows to come. He had been nice to me before but it always ended in pain...

I look at 26 sadly, i didnt know what to do. the only sibling i had was Dutch, but i never felt bad when he left. i didnt know what she was feeling. I kiss her temple, "Im sorry, honey." i say softly

“Katrina, focus. We need to call Diniel. You need to help me do this or you’re going to be stuck like this and you aren’t getting Kai back.” Adam said harshly.

Sara:

I let go of Jemma and leaned against Will feeling nauseous, and weak, and, and like nothing could ever go right again.

Kat:

I flinched and closed my eyes before slamming my energy into him. Adam was powerful on his own, but with my energy...it was limitless what he could do.

A pinpoint of light appeared on the floor and slowly grew up in size. The light was blinding even to Adam and Kat who had the same blood. The light dimed until a human-like form stood in front of them with a long silver-white robe loosely tied around its waist. It was hard to tell if it was male or female but it was exquisitely beautiful. Adam and Kat had the same kind of ethereal beauty that was echoed tenfold in this creature. “What have done?” Diniel asked, it’s voice streaked with sadness.

Adam looked at the angel without emotion. “We need you to bring this boy back.” He stated. The angel stepped forward and pulled Kat out of his grasp gently. “Katrina?” Diniel asked while sending a wave of healing energy through her mind, repairing the part of her that made her dependent of someone else.

Kat:

I groaned and slumped against the angel before hugging tightly. "I have missed you..." I said softly to the person. A shudder went through me and when I pulled back I had the halo, as well as having a similar glow to me as the being. I looked towards the bed sadly before looking up. "Can you save him? I dont want to live without him..." I said tears leaking down my cheeks. I didn't feel the same permanent need to be around him. But...I could feel it within me. He was the one I wanted to be with.

Diniel Glanced at Adam. She had made many mistakes so far. She didn’t want to make another one… But the girl she considered to be her child was so sad.. “Is that what you really want? You will have to take the consequences if I bring his soul back to his body.” The angel said sadly.
