Boarding School for the Mythical

I kissed her cheek. "Well the bread needs to rise for a bit, and the sauce needs to cook for a while. So, what do you want to do while we wait?"

Tabitha:

“We could watch a movie?” I suggested.

I smiled and nodded. "Alright sounds good."

Tabitha:

I tugged on his arm and sat him down on the couch as I put on a move then went back and snuggled against him.

I wound an arm around her. "So how are you going to introduce me to your parents?"

Tabitha:

“Well it’s just my mom..” I said slowly, remembering the article his vampire friend had found. “But I have three siblings. You met my brother Ari and my older sister Dory briefly. So that’s just Lira left. She’s younger than me, and twice as sweet.” I said with a fond smile. I loved all of my siblings, But Dory and Ari weren’t the warmest. They hadn’t been all that kind to Sphinx when they met him. “I’ll call my mom later to let her know I’m bringing someone.”

I nodded, "Why not call her now? We have time to kill."

Tabitha:

“Okay..” I went to find my phone then came back to him. I dialed the home number it wrung forever before anyone picked up. “Hello?” I breathless voice asked. “Lira? What are you doing?” I asked. “Oh,” She sounded out of breath. “Nothing. What’s up? Are you having another performance? Ari said you were beautiful in the one he went to. I wanted to come but Mom said I had to go on this stupid school thing, I was so upset. I miss you so much, I haven’t seen you forever. Mishka is getting so fat, you have to come visit, like all he does is sleep. Like right now.” She continuously talked into the phone; the volume was loud enough that Sphinx could hear too. “Lira?” I asked as she finally stopped but then I heard her voice for farther away. “Mishka, come here boy. Seriously, eat this, it’s good. I promise there isn’t a pill in it.” She came back to the phone. “Mom took him in the other day, he has an infection in his ear, so I have to give him these pills every day. He won’t take them from me unless I wrap it in cheese. Ari is good at making him take them though. I wonder why he won’t do it with me. I think he likes boys better.”

Sphinx:

I laughed softly, "She sounds adorable." I told Tabitha. I didn't know if I had siblings but I liked seeing others and their siblings.

Tabitha:

I smiled at him then cut my sister off. “Lira? Lira! Is mom there?” I asked. “No she went to the store its just me and… Well she’s not here. Ari’s coming over for dinner though, wish you were going to be here, but you have to live so far away…” I had to cut her off again. “Well I was going to talk to mom about that. It looks like I’m going to be coming home for Thanksgiving.” I told her to which she made excited noises that I could no longer understand.

I chuckled softly again, "With company, though from the sounds of things you might not want to say your bringing a boy."

Tabitha:

I covered the phone while she continued. “I’ll let my mom tell her, otherwise I’d be on the phone for hours describing every inch of you and what exact color your eyes are and such.” I said with a playful smile. “Well hey, Lira? Can you have mom call me? I’d like to tell her firsthand. Thanks, love ya, bye.” I hung up quickly.

"That is a conversation I might want to listen in on. How would you describe me hm?" I teased tapping her nose with a finger.

Tabitha:

I blushed a little but grinned as well. “Well first of I’d tell her you had dreamy green eyes.” I said. “And the most adorable smile.”

I grinned, motioning for her to continue. "Tell me everything you can please?"

Tabitha:

I leaned against him and continued bushing more as I went.

I listened and smiled softly as I heard her words. When she was done I told her gently, "I like your version of me."

Tabitha:

I looked up at him. “How many versions of you are there? And do you not like them all?” I asked, touching his cheek gently.

"A version is created every time I meet someone new. Everyone sees me differently. I just like how you see me." I said, nuzzling her hand.

Tabitha:

“Well I don’t think you could get much better.” I said happily.

"How is your mom going to react to you bringing a boy for thanksgiving?" I asked with a wink.

Tabitha:

“She’ll be happy to meet you. You’re a lot better than anyone else I’ve ever dated. She didn’t like them much. My brother might bring his girlfriend too.” I told him.

I nodded. "Your probably the one Vel has liked the least out of the ones I have dated. But then again. Vel has a low opinion of pretty much everyone that I chose for myself. He likes to be the big brother like that."

Tabitha:

“No offence but I’m not too fond of him either.” I said dully.

"He takes some getting used to, but honestly he is a good guy. You just caught him at a really bad moment." I said with a tired smile.
