Boarding School for the Mythical

Tabitha:

I sighed softly. “I’m so sorry. I can’t believe this keeps happening. I wish it could just go away.” I said unhappily.

"Its okay, I promise." I said, stroking her cheek gently.

Tabitha:

I sighed again. “It’s not okay to me.”

"Well, focus on other things for now. Like feeding Shade, and then you can come back here and I can give you a message." I teased, tapping her nose.

Tabitha:

I smiled softly then looked at shade again who had perked up at the prospects of being fed. I got up and went to the kitchen, he beat me there and had his paws on the counter trying to see the peanut butter. I smiled softly and got him a spoonful before returning to Sphinx.

Sphinx:

I rubbed a hand over my face while she had gone but I smiled immediately once she came back.

Tabitha:

I sat down next to him again and smiled happily.

I smiled back, "So what about food for us hm?"

Tabitha:

“Oh, um… We could have pasta.” I suggested.

I chuckled and nodded, taking her hand and giving it a squeeze. "How about I cook us something."

Tabitha:

I grinned. “I’d offer to help, but I’m a terrible cook.” I admitted. "And my skin burns easy."

I pulled her along, "Well, there is still stuff you can do for me. If your willing to wait a bit on dinner." I said with a grin.

Tabitha:

“Sure. What would you like me to do?” I asked him brightly.

I led her into the kitchen where I started mixing together ingredients. "Start kneading that for our bread."

Tabitha:

“Like actual homemade bread?” I asked going over and touching it with one finger.

I nodded, "Mmmhmm. I like making stuff home made." I told her with a grin.

Tabitha:

I started kneading the dough. “My mother would like you. She loves cooking. She’s really good too.” I told him.

I chuckled, "I have always liked cooking. And I have learned how to do a lot over the years." I told her as I started washing and cutting vegetables.

Tabitha:

“Hmm.” I chewed on my lip watching the dough.

I let the vegetables slide into a pot that I set on the stove. I added water and a bit of oil before turning on the heat and starting to slowly stir it together.

Tabitha:

“What are you doing for the holidays?” I asked finally.

"I have never had plans." I admitted as I moved over and took over kneading the bread.

Tabitha:
I scraped the extra dough off then washed my hands in the sink. “I know it’s a little soon… But I was thinking maybe you could have Thanksgiving with me, and my family.” I muttered, looking down into the sink. My cheeks grew warm.

I blinked in surprise before moving up behind her and hugging her to my chest from behind. "I would love to." I whispered softly.

Tabitha:

I grinned and bit my lip.
