Danny:

I showered before I went to bed in just pants.

Felicia:

I sleepily slipped out of bed, leaving my headphones behind as I moved towards the kitchen. I paused outside and rubbed at my eyes as I saw someone inside. I assumed it was Danny, as I went up and hugged him. But when it felt wrong, and not like him I pulled back and looked at the face. I blinked at the tanned skin, gold colored eyes, and little cat like eyeliner marks. "Oh, hi. Are you a staff member?"

"No, but do you know w-where I might find some cocoa? I'm thirsty for a cup. I am willing to make you some as well in trade." the man offered with a shy smile. I considered before smiling sleepily but brightly as I went to the pantry and brought it out to him. He brightened upon seeing it and took it from my hands and over to the stove where other ingredients were set up. He started making a pot, adding in other things besides milk and cocoa to it. I watched him work for several minutes before he poured it out into a mug and offered it out to me in both hands.

I took a sip and my eyes went wide. It was fantastic. "Thank you!" I said happily before walking off with the mug. I could feel his confused gaze on my back but I didn't say anything to him as I continued off. I went to Danny's room and entered without bothering to knock. I hopped up onto the bed, and sat with my legs tucked up underneath me. I took a sip of the warm drink as I watched Danny for a few seconds. Then I just reached up and tugged at his ear. "Danny, there is a magic guy in the kitchen making hot chocolate."

Danny:

I blinked sleepily at her then lifted up the blankets for her to get under like she usually did. I closed my eyes again.

I didn't get under the covers instead I dipped my finger into the cocoa and then licked it off. With my now wet fingers I stuck it into his ear while taking another sip.

Danny:

I swatted her hand away then blinked at her again. “Why are you up?” I asked groggily.

Felicia:

"I was thirsty and so I went to the kitchen to get something. That is where the guy is who made this." I said as I took another sip of the hot drink.

Danny:

“That’s nice, why don’t you drink it in your room?” I asked her.

Felicia:

I frowned then poured a little into his mouth.  "Come on, you gotta go see him.  He's cute and only wearing a vest!"

Danny:

I turned my face into my pillow and let out a long groan. “Why do you always meet new people in the middle of the night? Can’t you make them up in the day time?” I mumbled into my pillow.

I narrowed my eyes and promptly sat on him. "I am not making this one up!" I protested loudly.

Danny:

I groaned. “Fine, fine. I’ll come see.” I gave in.

I scrambled off of him and bounced on my tippie-toes next to the bed as I waited for him to get out of bed.

Danny:

I sighed and slowly got out of bed. Grabbing my robe off the closet door and shrugged it on. I squinted at my sister sleepily.

I took his hand with one of mine, my tail reaching up to hook his wrist just in case he tried not to follow, though that would hardly stop him from leaving. My other hand held my mug and I sipped at it as I started to lead him to the kitchen.

Kohl:

I stood at the stove making another pot of hot chocolate, humming a tune absently as I worked. I was wearing a set of white canvas cloth pants, a red sash covered in hieroglyphs, metal armbands going up both arms, and soft black shoes that could be slipped on and off. From each ear was a small gold loop, and around my forehead was a similar sash to what was around my waist. My hair was done up a bit, and I had made sure to add kohl around my eyes, giving me a cat like look. My skin was tan, though it was always that way, my hair dark, and my eyes golden.

Danny:

I yawned just before we entered the kitchen, then came to a halt when I saw the guy standing in the kitchen. “Uh…” Was all my sleepy brain could come up with.

Kohl:

I turned and blinked before smiling shyly. "Hello, sorry to intrude. Here have a seat and some hot chocolate." I told him as I poured what was into the pot into a waiting cup. I moved over and offered the cup out. I always felt more comfortable when I had a hot drink, though I knew that normally I was shy and stuttering.

Danny:

I took the cup silently, watching him. “Um… What exactly are you doing in my house? And how did you get in?” I asked.

I paused at his questions, a confused look passing over my face before I brightened and nodded. "Oh! R-right the letter!" I stammered digging around in my sash for a moment before frowning and snapping my fingers in front of me. With a small puff of blue smoke a letter was now in my hands. I offered it out to him. "My soon to be late m-mistress sent me here on a job-b..." I said looking at the floor.

Letter:

Dear sir,

I must apologize for the seeming random, unusual, or scary visit my servant might have caused you. He means well, he just doesn't have a common approach sometimes. I am writing this letter to you as I am dying, a thing that all must do beyond the special few who can claim immortality. But I am getting away from myself. Kohl who probably stands in front of you is someone who follows my command, and it is my command that brings him, and this letter to you. Please have no ill will towards him, he is a kind hearted person and will bring your family no harm at this time.

I have sent him along to you, through a gift of his. His command was simple, find the person he belongs with. That person as it seems, is you. You who are reading this letter, will see what is written here, while what someone else will see something entirely different. A clever spell of mine if I do say the least. He himself has no idea what is contained within this letter as I asked him not to read it. You are welcome to tell him anything, it is up to you. You are his future, it is why he found you.

Please take care of Kohl for me, he was a wonderful servant, and I am sure he will be very helpful to you in all your endevers. I must warn you though, becareful what you wish for. He has complete control, but that doesn't mean you will like the results.

Kohl:

While he might have been reading the letter I busied myself making another pot of hot chocolate so I could have some. I hummed as I worked, the ingredients rising to my hand as I reached for them to add them into the pot on the stove.

Danny:

I read the note over twice before looking at him again. “Kohl is it?” I asked, my voice holding confusion and doubt.

Kohl:

"Yes sir?" I asked, giving a tiny smile to him. I snapped my fingers and the spoon in the pot continued to stir even as I took my hand off it and turned to look at him.

Danny:

“Uh,” I looked him up and down, running a hand though ruffled hair. “What exactly are you?” I asked.

Kohl:

I looked at my clothes, "Oh sorry. I figured something traditional for my people would be best. But I am a Dijinn. Kind of like a genie but...with more rules." I looked up at him sheepishly.

Danny:

I tilted my head and couldn’t help but smile a little. “What kind of rules?” I asked curiously, going to sit at the kitchen table. I had always been fascinated with that kind of thing.

I leaned against the counter. "Well, to explain that I have to explain the difference between Dijinn and genies. We both come from the same ancestor but were locked away individually to prevent our race from becoming too strong at the time. Our race was separated into two groups when it came down to it. One side, the genies had more support than the other. They ultimately set the rules. In their own interests of course. Genies grant three wishes per master. The genie themselves define the rules that governs the power. So long as it does not interfere with the ability to grant most wishes. Usually it is what you see in the movie aladdin. Though some genies did let you wish for more wishes or do those things. They also set it so that they could be wished free." I drew a breath and let it out slowly before turning around the pouring the pot into a mug that suddenly appeared in a puff of blue smoke. "On the other side were the people to be known as Dijinn. Since we disagreed with the popular side...we got the rough end of the deal. Our prisons are something we can not change. What the inside of my prison looks like will never change. I can't do anything about it. And I hate aqua...." I shook my head and turned around, looking into my mug as I continued again. "Dijinn can never be set free, we are enslaved for life. Much of our power was stripped from us to be given to the genies. So we can no longer make things from thin air. What is wished for must come from somewhere. So if you wish fo-."

Kat:

"I wish for more hot chocolate!" I broke in, staring at Kohl intently. He paused and a pained look crossed his face for several seconds before he snapped his fingers. I looked into my mug and wiggled happily at the full cup of hot chocolate inside.

Kohl:

I tipped my cup upside down to show that it was empty. "As you can see, it has to come from somewhere."
