Danny:

“Kitty go to bed.” I told my sister.

Felicia:

"But the Dijiji thingy is cool!" I protested loudly with a hot cocoa mustache.

Danny:

I got up and shooed my sister out of the kitchen telling her it was late and that she had to go to bed. I turned back to look at Kohl with an apologetic smile.

Kohl:

I gave a shy smile back, standing nervously at the stove. "Is it okay if I make myself an actual pot of hot chocolate finally?" I asked with a shy stutter.

Danny:

I sat back down at the table. “Be my guest.” I said, waving a hand in permission. “I’m curious though, what about non material wishes, like if I were to wish that all my paperwork was finished?”

I didn't turn towards the stove as I snapped my fingers and things started moving and adding itself to the pot. "Could be done I suppose...but you would have to show me how to do it once. Other wise done could mean different things. For some, burning it to a crisp is done."

Danny:

“But how does that magic work?” I asked curiously, leaning forward to watch him.

Kohl:

"Originally we had power over creation. We could make what ever we needed, so long as we had the intent and will to do it. What both genies and Dijinn lost was the will and intent over our powers. We need someone else to give us that. But for me now, I guess its like teleporting. But...I dunno. It is just something that I can do." I shrugged my shoulders and turned to pour the pot into my mug again.

Danny:

“Power over creation, that makes what I can do sound like cheap tricks…” I said softly.

I frowned and fidgeted nervously, "S-sorry master...I....I um....I could bring up t-things to make you strong-ger..." I had just started and already I was screwing this up. I eyed him through wide and nervous eyes. I didn't know what kind of person he was, he could be like my tenth master who beat me until I passed out every day. Or he could be like my last Mistress, who treated me like her own son, always asking for things but never doing more than was required to prove her point.

Danny:

I blinked in surprise. “Ooh, don’t call me that. I’m fine with who I am. I love myself.” I put a hand over my heart. “I wouldn’t want to be any other way.”

"But you are my master...or you will be once you seal the c-contract..." I said softly in protest. I gave a small raise then lowering of my shoulders as I shrugged. "Mistress Fey sent me to you."

Danny:

“But I have no need for a servant…” I protested gently. I had everything I needed, and I could simply buy what I didn’t have.

"If I don't have someone seal the contract, then I go back to my prison until someone finds it and does seal the contract....well...once Mistress Fey." I said, my eyes looking down at the floor.

Danny:

“Well,” I said reluctantly. “How do I seal the contract?” I asked. I didn’t like this idea, of being responsible for what another person did.

I walked over to him, holding out both of my hands as I knelt on both knees in front of him. It was more of a matter of convenience for him sitting than actually needing to do it for the sealing.

Danny:

“Uhm… What do I do?” I asked uncomfortably.

"Full name?" I asked softly, looking into his eyes.

Danny:

I had butterflies in my stomach suddenly, and a little color came to my cheeks. “Uh, Danial Benjamin Heights.”

I looked at our hands then, and from the golden bands around my wrists, chains seemed to creep around his hands and mine, binding them together. "Danial Benjamin Heights, I Kohl Karkanuean, the twenty-sixth dijinn bind myself into your service until the day comes that you pass me to another or you pass from this world." The chains tightened till it was almost painful before vanishing in a flash. In his hands I knew, would be my prison. It would look like a simple necklace, with a gold disk, a diamond in the center while runes shifted and moved around the diamond.

Danny:

I took in a slow breath and looked at my hand. “What is this?” I asked, holding up the necklace.

Kohl:

I stood up and twisted first one way than the other as I popped my back. "My prison. Genies get lamps. We dijinn have random objects. That is mine...its horrible to look at...the disk is too fat for such a small diamond...." I shook my head then gestured to it, "You can make it look like what ever you want. Just hold it in your fist and think of something else."

Danny:

I looked up at him with a smile. “What do you want it to look like?” I asked. He was right about the thing, it was too big for the diamond.

I shrugged my shoulders, "I don't care really. One master made it into a bird cage he kept birds in, one mistress always had it with her, changing it often into what ever she wanted." I smiled shyly back at him as I shifted from foot to foot, my fingers playing with the canvas pants I wore.

Danny:

I closed my eyes and squeezed my hand around it. It turned into a simple gold ring. I slid it ont a finger on my right hand. “There, now I won’t lose it.”
