Heather-
I slid out of the booth and narrowed my eyes at him. "Did that waitress give you her number?" I asked, putting a hand on my hip.

Ashton:

I tucked the receipt in my back pocket. “Yeah. Kinda rude to give a guy your number while he’s with a pretty girl, huh? I don’t think I’m going to call her.” I said nonchalantly with a shrug once we were outside.

Heather-
"Why wont you call her? She seemed nice enough," I said. I paused and looked at him. "You think I'm pretty?"

Ashton:

“Well you are. Is that surprising?” I raised my eyebrows at her then shrugged again. “Nah, I won’t call her. I’m not interested in starting anything right now.”

Heather-
It was a bit surprising but I just shrugged it off. "Why don't you wanna start anything?" I asked,

Ashton:

I looked at her considering, almost tempted to tell her. I decided against it and just shrugged again as I got into my car. “I’d just like to have a new start here is all.”

Heather-
I shrugged and accepted his answer. "Well whatever you want. There will be other girls when you're ready," I said. I proceeded to the car and got in the passenger side. "What are we gonna do if the power is still out?" I asked.

Ashton:

I checked the time. “We could go see a movie? Then by the time we get home, it will be bedtime anyway regardless of whether the power is on.” I suggested looking over at her without starting the car.

Heather-
"What, like a date?" I asked, smirking, obviously joking around

Ashton:

“Like the same thing we would do at home if the power was on; watch TV. But this time we wont be fighting over the remote.” I said after rolling my eyes. “You game?”

Heather-
I buckled my seat belt and laughed. "Yeah, sure." I said. "But I get to pick the movie,"

Ashton:

“Just as long as it’s not a sappy romantic movie.” I told her with a shrug. I had seen the local movie theater on the way to the restaurant, it was only a few blocks away so the drive was short.

Heather-
I giggled and settled into my seat. "Fine, no sappy romance," I said. "But it's not gonna be gory and bloody with lots of explosions either," I said.

Ashton:

“I’m not even in the mood for one of those movies, thank you very much.” I said then grinned at her. I was always in the mood for it, she would know given the countless crime dramas I liked to watch.

Heather-
I smiled. "Good, then it wont be a problem," I said, opening my window a little bit to let to cold air in.

Ashton:

I pulled into the parking lot of the Theater, There weren’t very many cars so I parked up front and looked over at her. “Lead the way, chose whatever you like.” I told her as I killed the engine.

Heather-
I hopped put of the car and made my way into the movie theater. Surprisingly, there weren't very many people. I went right up to the ticket booth and asked for two tickets to see one of the dramas.

Ashton:

Our movie was showing in a smaller theater. There were only four other people besides us and they were sitting in the back, so I took Heather to one of the front rows.
“Do you want popcorn or anything?” I asked once we were sitting down, the thought just now occurring to me.

Heather-
"No thanks, I just had ice cream," I smiled. I settled into the seat and shrugged off my jacket

Ashton:

“There is no way you can be full from that.” I said skeptically stretching my arms out over both seats on either side of me, including hers and propping my feet up on the railing in front of us.

Heather-
I shrugged and crossed my arms over my chest. "I'm full enough," I said.

Ashton:

The movie was good, if not a little slow paced. I was starting to doze off halfway through when an uncomfortable sex scene started. And we were right up in the front row.

Heather-
When a more heated scene appeared on the screen, I felt my face go red. I was never more thankful for a dark room and a quick glance around showed me that the theater was still relatively empty.

Ashton:

I couldn’t help but glance over at Heather, wondering what she was thinking. I smirked a little, noticing her pink cheeks.

Heather-
I bit my lip and watched the screen. I hadn't known this movie would have a sex scene and as awkward as it was, I wasn't going to say anything.
