Kai:

I blinked, then grinned widely. I nuzzled her hair. “So did I.” I murmured in her ear.

I blushed and hid my face more into his chest, hugging him tighter.

Kai:

I rubbed her back gently. “Do you want to keep dancing? Or…?” I asked softly.

I made a small whine, uncertain what I wanted or what else he was illuding too.

Kai:
I slid my hands over to rest on her hips. “What’s wrong Kat?” I asked.

"I'm shy...." I whined into his chest. I lifted my face enough that I could peek at him.

Kai:

I smiled and continued to rub her back. “Well can’t you just tell me what you want? Do you want to keep dancing?” I asked.

I hid my face again and nodded. My wings gave a little flutter but I otherwise didn't move until he did.

Kai:

I rubbed between her wings and started again. “I’m sorry I’m such a rubbish dancer.” I said softly.

"Your perfect...I don't think I could have kept up if you were a good dancer. And I only know as much as you know. All of my time has been spent with you guys. Anything else I was at the school where I was locked in a room, with a harness that took the energy from me....I have never danced before, but through a window I got to see people dancing in the courtyard...so I wanted to try it." I shrugged my shoulders and gave my wings a small flex.

Kai:

I held her close. “I hardly remember the school from when I was little. I was young when Jemma took me away. I know it was horrible… I have been taken back a few times… But from the way you all speak of it… I’m the only one who was spared that.” I said quietly, admiting my guilty feelings for the first time.

Kat:

"I don't know how it was for everyone else...for me it was discomfort and lonely....I hardly ever got visitors. And those I did...were never kind." I shrugged my shoulders. "Honestly I'm grateful to the school. As odd as it might sound...it got me you didn't it?"

Kai:

I smiled softly. “That’s true. And I guess neither of us would have existed unless they created us. We never would have been able to fly, even if we were born human.” I said. “I guess every atrocity has some beauty to it.”

Kat:

I looked up at him and nodded. "Being unable to fly would be so boring..."

Kai:

“I don’t think I could stand it.” I smiled and ran my hands over her wings. “Besides, wings are so beautiful…”

I spread my wings as wide as they would go. "I hate that they are white..." I muttered unhappily looking at my wings.

Kai:

“I think they are more beautiful than any I’ve seen.” I told her, running my hand over the arch of her wing.

Kat:

I blushed and gave them a little flutter. "They are hard to keep clean..."

Kai:

I smiled and felt down the feathers, almost mesmerized by her wings. “I’ve never seen a spec of dirt on them.”

Kat:

"I take time and effort to make it that way...and I have learned to avoid getting them dirty for the most part...." I said watching his face as he played with my wings. "Mud is the worst...it gets in deep."

Kai:

“Well I know that. My wings aren’t exactly dark.” I smiled at her and flicked one out to study it next to her, it was tawny and cream colored.

I looked at his wing and then moved my own closer until it was pressed against his.

Kai:

I watched her as she moved, then flicked my eyes to hers once I felt her feathers mesh with mine, my eyes questioning and curious.

I gave him a shy smile. "Now we are one...in a way."

Kai:

I curled my wings around her and pulled her close to kiss her again, hungrily.
