hm weird me....hell yes (open)

My lips parted slightly as my eyes ran over every inch of her chest. My cheeks turned slightly pink. I had seen them before of course, but it was usually the type of thing that you saw unintentionally and didn't mention or look for long. This was the first time I had gotten the chance to look and stare for a long while.

~Time Skip~

Ira:

I laid next to him, breathing a little heavily. It had been a bit awkward and somewhat painful at first, but not altogether unpleasant. Ultimately I was happy that we had done it.

I had my arm over my eyes again, a peaceful look on my face. I was still naked, laying on my back. My skin gleamed faintly with sweat, and I had my free arm linked with hers, fingers lacing together with hers.

Ira:

I looked over at him. This was the first time in a long time that he actually looked peaceful and content. It made me happy that I was able to distract him at least for a little while. I wanted to tell him I loved him again, but I didn’t want to pressure him to say it back.

I was in a light doze, not really asleep, but certainly not awake. I didn't have to check the time to know that several hours had passed.

Ira:

I fell asleep without putting my clothes back on, as had Alex which made for a slightly shy moment in the morning when we woke up. But then things heated up and the shyness vanished…

After showering and getting dressed I lead Alex by the hand to get breakfast. I was happier than I had been since before Liam died. This rivaled even coming to this place and having them cure me.

I gave her hand a squeeze as we entered the cafeteria. I was back to my usual self before we had even left the room, so I offered to get our food for the two of us.

Ira:

I nodded happily and went to sit down. We had come later to breakfast than most of the other people, so the cafeteria was pretty full.

Jemma:

I couldn’t help but notice when they came in. My eyes were drawn to Alex without me wanting them to. I couldn’t help but note how happy they looked, or at least how happy Ira looked. It was a special kind hideous feeling to see someone you had feelings for, be happy with someone else.

Alex:

I could feel Jemma's eyes on me but there was nothing I could do. I wished I could be with Jemma, but I was loyal. I was with Ira, and with Ira I would stay until she no longer wanted me.

Jemma:

I tried to keep my eyes on my own plate with one last piece of toast. But my eyes kept glancing back to Alex. My stomach churned when she smiled at him then kissed his cheek. There was nothing I could do. I wasn’t going to try to get him back, he was with Ira now. But it was harder than it was before because the anger toward him was gone.

I got up to go just as I saw Ira pass. I returned my tray with the piece of toast still on it then made to leave the room but I heard a thud and a gasp behind me. I turned to see Ira shaking on the ground.

Instinct took over. No one else was doing anything at all. Quickly I moved over to her and straddled her chest, holding her arms down with my legs. I could feel her body shaking under me. Holding her head down with both hands, I made her forget what was happing and she stopped shaking. She gaze a little gasp and stared up at me with startled eyes. I got off of her and stumbled back on numb legs. I fell back onto a bench and it was only then that I noticed the claw marks and blood dripping down my legs.

Alex:

I had just grabbed the tray when I saw Ira go down and seconds later Jemma jumping on top of her. I tossed the tray back onto the counter and rushed over, looking from girl to girl as I tried to understand what had just happened.

Ira:

My body felt stunned and then sore. It took me a minute before I could sit up then I looked over at Jemma. She was sitting backwards at a table, facing me, with her hands gripping the bench and her head bowed. The my horror I could see five bloody gouges on each leg, and I had blood under my nails.
"Jemma?" I asked in a frightened voice.

Jemma:

I lifted my head to look at her and hissed in a breath as the feelings in my legs came back. They were stinging in a way that shallow wounds did; unreasonably painful. She made to reach out to me but I jerked away. "Don't touch me," I hissed. "Don't touch anyone." She looked hurt, but I couldn't sugar coat it when I was emotional and in pain. Ira was getting her powers back. I stood up shakily and she seemed to shrink back into herself, still crouched on the ground.

Alex:

"Jemma, I'll take care of it." I murmured softly to her. I moved over to Ira and lifted her up. Shadows began to rise from my shoulders. I could feel the power attacking me. Needless to say I was enraged.

Ira:

I felt tears burning in my eyes. I knew everyone in the room was watching us, but I was also horrified that I had hurt Jemma, not just her legs I realized, but with my power as well. I tidn’t struggle when Alex lifted me, I kept my eyes locked on Jemma, I wanted to see her walk before I left the room. I was scared to death that I could have permanently hurt her.

Jemma:

I looked at the two of them. There wasn’t really anything I could do to help her now. Maybe Aline would do whatever she had done to her to take her powers away again. I took another shake step and nearly fell over but my wings came out to steady myself, and I was able to make it to the door and into the hallway without falling. I hurried to my room, where Kai had fallen asleep on the floor that morning, despite having his own room to stay in.

Alex:

I took Ira straight to where I knew Kat was. I set her gently down on one of the free beds and I told her softly. "Stay put. I'm getting Aline."

Ira:

I pulled my knees up to my chest and started sobbing. I was broken again. Everything that I had in the last few months was ripped from me in a matter of seconds. My biggest fear was that my power was back for good this time. Clearly it wasn’t deadly yet, but it would get there, and I would be alone again.

My eyes flicked briefly over Ira before turning over to the still sleeping Kat. My power increased with my rage and I stepped across the room and into a dark corner. From the corner I was out in the hall where I knocked heavily on Jemma's door before just pushing it open.

Kai:

I had woken up to see Jemma stepping over me with bloody legs to head to the bathroom. I scrambled to my feet and demanded what happened to her. She told me briefly that Ira had done it to her while she had been trying to help her. I was angry even after she had said Ira hadn’t done it on purpose. She sat on the edge of the tub and started to wash the blood off of her legs.

When I heard the pounding on the door I leaned out of the doorway to see Alex coming g in. My frown deepened and I crossed my arms blocking the doorway and his view of Jemma.

“What?” I asked coldly.

Alex:

"You, are coming with me." I said in a voice that told him not to argue. I dragged my gaze to Jemma as I moved over to inspect the injuries. Shadows were still leaking from me as I looked from the wounds to her. "I will get you bandages as soon as I get back."

Jemma:

Kai was looking at him resentfully. I reached out to grab his wrist and looked Alex. “What do you want with him?” I asked, pulling Kai closer to me.

"Gods above, you would think you would trust me." I snapped before with a slash of my arm to the side a doorway opened up. Through the doorway was a room with beds...one of which was a pale faced Kat, hooked up to machines. "I promised to Aline that I wouldn't tell you about where she was. Aline also promised me that Ira would be fixed and would never have to fear about her powers again. If she breaks her promise I break mine."

Kai:

My frown disappeared and my eyes widened. I jerked away from Jemma and ran through the shadow doorway to Kat’s bedside.

Jemma:

My heart dropped into my stomach as I watched him with a pained look. I stepped out of the bath tub quickly, splashing lightly pink water on the floor about to follow after him.

I grabbed Jemma's arm and made her sit back down. "No. Stay. I called you because he was miserable. That is why he has been miserable. Kat has looked like that. Eventually I am going to have to drag him away from her before he falls back into the same routine. At that point, it will be up to you. However for now. I need your help with dealing with Aline."

Jemma:

I looked up at him helplessly with pain and worry in my eyes. All my feelings toward him were pushed aside by need to help Kai in anyway that I could. But there was nothing I could do for him right now, the girl he loved was dying and the best thing for him would be for him to be alone with her. My shoulders hunched and I dropped my gaze from Alex’s face. “How?” I asked dully.

"I need to know that all this..." I gestured broadly to mean the entire facility. "Is for real. That she truly means to help us."
