"I did. I would have tried to kill them if it would have gotten me my desire. But that wasn't what I was told to do." I shrugged my shoulders like it was nothing.

 

I touched her skin, letting my fingers wander over it. "Because...I realized that powers will never work on me...and I didn't want them to be playing around in my head with tools or instruments." And because I fell in love.

 

"You wouldn't have wanted to. At the school...I was good until they made me be bad. And after I was bad. I would have killed you for trying to talk to me." I remarked quietly.

 

"I would rather not show you how wrong you are...like I showed Jemma." I murmured my eyes closing tightly.

 

"I was much the same way. Except...I had murdered any who would have cared about me. And the one I hadn't...well...in the end he killed himself." I made a slight face at the morbid topics.

 

"I enjoyed it in the beginning. The killing. It felt like I could get revenge on the world. Revenge on the people who made me do what I should never have done." I swallowed thickly. "Do you remember how viscous the guards were at the school? What they did to females or those they had permission to do anything with? One of the directors...he had developed a sick taste. And he wished to test my loyalty. I, like Michael was being groomed for the soldier program. Not the guard one...they started putting me into a kitchen. At first I thought it was a reward for being good. They taught me to cook any number of things and I was good at it. Eventually they would just leave the ingredients for me and I would make something. Sometimes I could tell...that my ingredients had once been...human." I closed my eyes and gritted my jaw. Anger and sadness came to my voice. "In the soldier program they do a loyalty test. My brother failed out before he got to the loyalty test. The test could be anything, my test....my test came when I walked into the kitchen one day and my sister was sitting on the counter, humming and kicking her feet. I was given a choice. Kill and cook, or she went to the guards with permission to do anything." My voice went soft though the emotions remained. "I held her close, telling her that I was sorry, that I loved her, that she was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. Braver than any I had ever known. She giggled and snuggled up against me. I made it quick...I made the food. I walked away and went back to my room. That night my powers ran rampant, and started killing. They never stopped until Kage came."

 

I wrapped my arms around her and held her close. I could feel the dampness spreading on my shoulder that told me she was crying. But my eyes were dry.

 

I kissed her back just as softly, my hand moving to touch her cheek as well.

Ira:

I was sad after both of our stories and I just didn't want to think anymore. Alex and I had never been a wild couple, we weren't taken to hot make out sessions. But right now I wanted to feel closer to him so I put more into the kiss, pressing harder against his lips.

I pressed my lips more against hers. After today I would take any sort of comfort I could. And well...she deserved it, what ever she wanted for putting up with me. For falling for me.

 

I could feel my heartbeat speed up as she moved more onto me. I knew Ira was attractive, I could tell it myself and I could see the looks people gave her. But I was faintly surprised at her chest pressing against mine and how good it felt.

 

"I'm yours." I returned with just as quiet. I couldn't say that I loved her, when I wasn't quite sure what that meant.

Ira:

I noticed that he didn't say it back, but it was good enough. I went back to kissing him and rolled on top of him a little awkwardly so my legs were straddling his hips.

I moved my hands to rest on her hips, I wondered if she truly wanted to do this. To have her first with me.
