hm weird me....hell yes (open)

Ira:

I shifted the straps off my shoulders so he could get them too. His hands felt amazing on my skin, despite the slight discomfort from the burn. I hadn’t had this much contact since before my ability became too powerful. It felt intimate, yet I knew it didn’t mean anything. I had asked him to do it after all.

I squeezed more onto my hands as I began to work across her shoulders and down her back. Her skin was surprisingly soft, and I blushed when that thought came to my head. I made it far enough down her back that my fingers were brushing over the back of her bathing suit top. I took a breath then slid my hands under it to apply some there as well. That done I added more to my hands and worked on her lower back. I wasn't even sure if I was going over area's with a sunburn anymore, but I just continued to work anyway.

Ira:

Once he was finished, I went back into the tent to cool off a little before we went to get dinner. The feeling of his hands flat on my skin stuck in my mind. I thought maybe he had lingered past finishing applying the aloe vera, which gave me hope that my feelings weren’t completely one sided.

Alex:

I stayed out in the sun just kind of sitting and staring at my hands. I felt a wash of conflicting emotions going through my head. To say I didn't enjoy helping her with that...would be a huge lie. But what it meant....I hadn't a clue.

Ira:

Later as I was getting ready for diner, I put on a little makeup using a compact mirror. My cheeks were lightly pink from the sun, and my makeup brought out the color in my eyes. I selected dark jeans and a nice white blouse. I decided I was finished getting ready after I tied my hair up. I was a little shy when I stepped out of the tent.

Alex:

As evening fell I got dressed outside the tent behind a tree. A dark flattering button up shirt with dark jeans. A faded leather belt went around my waist and I even took the time to brush my hair and take extra care with my teeth. When I was all ready, I fidgeted nervously, my back to the tent. I didn't know why I was so nervous, nothing really came to mind as I tried to puzzle it out.

Ira:

I made my way over to him and touched his shoulder gently. “Are you ready to go?” I asked softly, looking up at him with cheeks tinged pink partly from the sun and partly from a blush.

I turned and my breath caught just a little as I looked at her. "Y-yeah....where were we going again?" I said quietly, still taken aback by how she looked. I caught her pink cheeks, and my brain assumed she was blushing only, so I began to blush too.

Ira:

“It’s a Mexican food trailer, on the river.” I told him shyly. “Are you going to, you know, do the shadow thing to get us there?” I asked.

"I could...but it isn't that far of a walk..." I trailed off and took her hand in mine, fingers lacing with hers.

Ira:

My entire body felt warm in a way that wasn’t connected to the lingering heat of the day. It was happiness, something I wasn’t accustom to. “Okay.” I said simply with a soft smile.

I gave her hand a squeeze and with a gentle pull I tried to get her going towards the river that fed into the lake.

Ira:

I couldn’t think of a thing to say to him, so I just kept my eyes on the ground and my hand lightly squeezing his, letting him lead me down the lake.

I cleared my throat to try and break the awkward silence. "You uh...you look nice..." I managed out, visibly wincing immediately after I said it. Out of everything possible to say, that is what I came up with?

Ira:

My smile immediately brightened as I looked up at him. “You think so?” I asked happily, squeezing his hand a little without realizing.

I nodded. "Yeah, you really do." I gave her a shy smile then focused ahead of us.

Ira:

My blush deepened and I looked back down. We didn’t say much more through the rest of the walk. I couldn’t help but notice how attractive he looked, I kept stealing glances at him. After we got our food, I suggested we walk down the side walk along the river while we ate. I was slowly working up the nerve to tell him how I felt.

I finished my food rather quickly as it gave me something to focus on instead of the confusion that was happening in my head. When the silence began to drag and get to me I made a snap decision. "Hey Ira? Can I uh....can I try something?"

Ira:

I finished my food and veered off to the side a little to throw the wrapper in the trash. “Of course. What is it?” I asked with wide attentive eyes. I let my hand dangle by my side just in case he decided to hold it.

I took her hand to stop her. My first impulse had been to talk about the possibility of us...together. But as I looked at her, my snap decision changed. "Ira..." I said softly, drawing her into a hug, my eyes searching hers for a moment. I opened my mouth to speak again before just leaning down to try and kiss her.

Ira:

I blushed when he pulled me into his arms and looked up to watch his face while he spoke. My eyes widened in surprise when he leaned in to kiss me. I moved the last couple of inches to press my lips to his gently.

((Just as a note, Ira isn’t nearly as experienced with anything as Jemma is =P))

Alex:

I kept the kiss soft and gentle, pulling back shyly after a few moments. "I-I'm sorry....I shouldn't have...I um..." I fidgeted with the back of her shirt just to give myself something to do instead of talking.

Ira:

My cheeks burned but I smiled happily. “No, it was good, I’m glad you did. I was wanting to tell you… How I felt…” I dropped my gaze to his chest.

"How you felt about what?" I asked softly, my face feeling like it was going to melt off.

Ira:

“You.” I said simply but shyly. “I’ve been crazy about you ever since I first talked to you. I- I didn’t think you felt the same though… Especially what with Jemma…”
