Boarding School for the Mythical

Vivian:

"Do you even know how to celebrate christmas?" I asked trying to play everything off like I was fine and joking. I sat up and instead of really getting up I grabbed the coffee and took a long sip of it. I had always tried to get where he had gotten the coffee blend that always tasted so good, but had never gotten it out of him.

Velaric:

“Christmas is my favorite holiday.” I told her, sitting on the bed waiting for her to get ready. “You might want to dress in something warmer.” I said without thinking about it.

I looked to my clothes before nodding. I went to my suitcase, placing it on the bed. I unzipped it and then pulled out a bundle of clothes. I began tugging at my top, loosening it before I turned to look at Velaric. My hands paused and I felt a bout of shy uncertainty as to if I should continue or not. In the end I did keep going, just slower.

Velaric:

My eyes grazed over her without realizing what she was about to do. I stood up immediately and moved to the door without looking at her again. "I'll be waiting outside." I told her, steeping out of her room and closing the door firmly.

I giggled softly and fully stripped. A matching bra and panties went on followed by Striped leggings, dark red and green spiraling up the legs. A christmasy dress with a swooshy skirt that went to mid thigh. The dress also had sleeves that went to my elbows. Using a mirror in the room I pinned up my hair and then pulled on a grey jacket with big buttons that ended at my butt. When I felt I was all ready I opened the door to present myself to Velaric.

Velaric:

My eyes trailed over her once again when she came out of her room. “Don’t do that.” I told her darkly. I was under no delusion that she hadn’t known what she was doing in there.

Vivian:

"Do what?" I asked him innocently. "Treat you line an adult with a child? An adult normally wouldn't care. Or what am I going to be treated like an adult?" I smiled at him and just tried to skip past.

Velaric:

I reached out and curled my hand around her wrist, yanking her back effortlessly. “Vivian.” I said coolly, forcing her back against the wall. “I’m not like an ordinary adult. I’m a vampire. Vampires are known for being incredibly strong,” I squeezed her wrist a little. “But that is physical strength only. Self-control is not a common trait in us. In any manner. I’m very weak, and it is not a wise move for you to taunt me the way you do. You are a child.” I let her go and moved to the other side of the hallway. “And you are a woman. And it is taking every ounce of self-control I have, which isn’t much, to stay away from you.” My voice was dark and quiet, only loud enough for her to hear me.

I stood there my shoulders slumped and eyes closed. "I just want to make you happy...just me alone, not sharing." I whispered before moving into the hall. I was scared, how could I not be? But I felt all my feelings for him. And that was greater than any fear.

Velaric:

I stood unmoving for a moment. “Vivian,” I said softly, letting my body relax a little. “Go get the coffee and drink it. We’re going to be out all night.” I told her before leaving to go to the living room. I brought Tabitha And Sphinx each a cup as well before sinking back into my chair. “Drink up, we’re going out, and we’re going to have some fun.”

I went into the room and shut the door quietly. I took the coffee and finished it slowly, using my powers to heat the cup back to a hot drink. I devoured the cookies as well, only leaving my room once I had eaten and drank everything.

I was halfway finished with my coffee when Vivian came into the room. I hadn't had much expirience with the girl, only once when she little. I looked her over once then dropped my eyes to my cup. I wondered if she would see me differently than she was used to, or if she would see me the same, as Sphinx did.

Vivian:

I paused and looked at the pair on the couch. Sphinx was sipping his coffee with his head in the girls lap. It took my brain a moment to place the girl. "Hi Tabitha. Enjoying your chance to stretch your legs and see Sphinx I see." It was the other side of her, the protector.

I looked back up at her. "I'm enjoying just being here." I said quietly. I had both hands around my cup to warm them.

"Are you cold?" I asked her, closing my eyes and letting my power heat the room up a few degrees. Sometimes their were perks to being friends with someone who could very literally be a space heater.

Velaric:

"Warm up then get your coat on because were going out." I said. I was determined to have a good Christmas. It was going to be fun.

Vivian:

I looked up at Velaric meekly before looking down at the floor. I drew my legs up underneath me and instead watched Sphinx and Tabitha. Sphinx looked perfectly content and happy on her lap, though his coffee was entirely untouched in his hands.

I smoothed my hand through his hair. "Almost ready?" I asked, my cup was nearly empty but I noted that he barely touched his.

"Mmhmm, when ever you all are." I promised with my eyes shut. "What are we going to go do Vel anyway? It's late...or early enough that nothing will really be open."

Velaric:

"I'm a vampire my friend, I know everything that is open at this hour. And its a surprise." I smiled mischievously.

"Last time you told me that...we ended up at a vampire strip club..." I mumbled though a smile came to my lips.

I raised my eyebrows at that. "I cant even imagine." I muttered shaking my head.

Velaric:

I grinned. "Fun times. Anyway, now we have ladies in company, so we'll tame it down a bit." I said with a wink.

I snorted. "You? Tame? This I've got to see." I turned my attention to Tabitha and I smiled slightly. "Think regular strip club, just more blood less sun. And the customers are still human...they just don't tip with money."

I crinkled my nose. "Yeah no, lets not go there." I said. "You'd be fine, they wouldn't want your blood." Vel said. I frowned, reminded that he had tasted my blood already. And it had made him sick. And it had brought out the darkness in me. At that time, I was barely even in control.

"Vampires want my blood even less. Or more...depends on if they remember me or are too new to know of my name among Vel's kind." I smiled wickedly and rolled to my feet, taking my cup to the kitchen. I didn't hear Vivian's quiet comment, "The Bloodless one...Slayer of Dracula...Member of the High Order."
