Boarding School for the Mythical

I watched her go and ran a hand over my face. From flirty to business, that quick.

Tabitha:

I picked out a knee length, blue sweater dress, pulled on black and white patterned leggings with black boots, then pulled the dress on and topped it with a white infinity scarf. I came out of the closet to sit next to Sphinx, brushing his hair back.

“Should, I make breakfast? And by breakfast I mean, toast and instant coffe?” I asked with a soft smile.

I smiled and nodded. "Extra on the last for me. And if you could...could you get a few batteries for me?"

Tabitha:

“Will do,” I kissed his cheek and hopped up to get him batteries. I scavenged them from around the apartment and returned with four AA batteries. “Will these work?” I asked, holding them out.

I was standing in just a pair of underwear as she came back. "Hm?" I asked as I turned around before smiling. "Those will work great. I can use those instead of my own power to set off the portal."

Tabitha:

I looked him over. “Should I try to find more?” I asked, not looking at his face as I did so.

I bounced the batteries in my hand as I considered. "Hm...no. These will work. What I am going to do is kind of against the rules anyway and this will be enough." I smiled and looked at her face just to find it wasn't even looking back at me. But at my body.

Tabitha:

I looked up to meet his gaze with a guilty but playful smile. “I’ll go get us food.” I said turning to head to the kitchen.

I chuckled softly and shook my head. "You little minx of a tease..." I resumed getting dressed, pulling on a complimentary shirt and dark pants from the dresser. I pocketed the batteries before looking around the room for a moment.

Tabitha:

I burned the toast. Twice. “Okay then. Oatmeal it is.” I said in exasperation. I made the coffee with an extra portion for him. It was a little bland. I put a lot of milk and sugar in mine. It was really sweet coffee flavored milk.

I came downstairs and hugged her from behind. "I...is that coffee for me?" I asked as I gestured towards the darker cup. I wasn't going to mention the burnt smell filling her kitchen.

Tabitha:

“Yeah, but it isn’t very good,” I told him as I turned my face and leaned up or a kiss.

I kissed her softly, cupping her face gently. "You made it, so its perfect for me." I murmured against her lips.

Tabitha:

I smiled at him and kissed him again. “I made oatmeal.” I announced stirring some rather soupy oatmeal.

I smiled and nodded. "I see, thank you for that. Now, lets eat quickly and then get going."

Tabitha:

I dished us up and sprinkled brown sugar over the top and set it at the table. “You look very nice by the way.” I said with a little smile.

I looked down at my outfit before looking up at her. "In the clothes or out of the clothes?" I asked with a wink to let her know I had caught her looking back in her room.

Tabitha:

I grinned. “Well… both.” I said with a little giggle. I took a bite of the oatmeal and had to immediately spit it out as it burned my tongue.

I flashed her a grin as I took my coffee and took a sip. But I nearly choked on the sip, but not because of the taste. "It's hot Tabitha, be careful." I held in my laughter but just barely. Covering it with another sip.

Tabitha:

My eyes narrowed at him. “’tanks for da warnin’” I muttered as I retrieved a glass of cold juice to cool my mouth.

I laughed that time, but was thankfully liquid free in my throat and mouth. I set the mug aside and went over to her to kiss her. "I'm sorry..."

Tabitha:

I looked up at him with a pouty face. “Ih willy huut.” I mumbled but didn’t protest to his kiss.

"I know, drink your juice and let your oatmeal cool a little bit." I pecked her lips one more time before retrieving my coffee.

Tabitha:

I sat back down with my juice, avoiding both the oatmeal and the coffee. I would probably end up pouring the coffee out anyway.

I couldn't help but chuckle softly as she avoided her food all together. So I rumaged around in her cabinets and chopped up some fruit for a small fruit salad. I set it in front of her before returning to my coffee and oatmeal.
