Perfect School

Kyra:

“I thought you could have won. You got him pretty good. He was favoring his left side when he was fighting with Kira.” I told him. I thought it was possible that he could have beat Jonah, though unlikely, but he had done it last time.

"Ah Jonah is just quicker and better. I am only stronger, for all the good it does me. I am happy I got him good though! Wish I could have seen the match between him and Kira..." I chuckled softly.

Kyra:

“It was intense. I thought Kira was going to win for a while there. She’s amazing, isn’t she? I’ve never seen someone better than Jonah before. She nearly got him.” I wondered if Jonah cared that people were talking about Kira being better than him. He never seemed jealous or envious of anyone.

I whistled softly and shook my head. "Kira has changed this school entirely...Everyone is trying harder now, even Jonah. I still like you more though! You are far more approachable, Kira has this...wall. Like she keeps everyone at a distance."

Kyra:

I giggled. “Well thank you.” I grinned at him. “She does have a wall. I keep trying to be her friend, and she’s not really rude, just closed off. I think she needs a friend, you know? Jonah talks to her a lot, but I think he’s just excited to have someone challenge him.”

Well, I had meant to compliment her and do a little flirting. But this had turned into talking about the two best people in this school. This always seemed to happen for me anytime I talked to a girl. It turned into me and them talking about Jonah and Kira. Kira was beautiful, and insanely adorable with her small size. All the guys were starting to like her. Similarly all the girls were going for Jonah. It was hard to compete with that. But, I held more appreciation for Kyra's looks over Kira's...

"If anyone could break through that wall it would be you. I can't think of anyone at this school who doesn't like you." I shrugged my shoulders.

Kyra:

I beamed at him. “I try, Though I think a couple of them are impartial to me. I like having a lot of friends though. It makes me feel a little less homesick.” I bounced lightly on the balls of my feet. “Are you excited for break? Are you going back home this time?” I smiled happily as I asked it.

I hid the pained look behind a laugh and a grin. "Nah. Dad is still dealing with political nonsense. He has a big campaign coming up and wouldn't even be able to spend much time with me. Next break I should get to see him though! And Mom as well, once she comes back from her trip of course." The lies came easy. I had been using such things since I had gotten here. "What about you? Any plans?" My eyes flicked down to her chest and cleavage as she bounced on the balls of her feet.

Kyra:

“Yeah! My aunt and uncle are coming to visit, and my other uncle might come too, I’m hoping he does though dad hasn’t said anything about that. It’s always exciting when he comes.” I grinned. “Andrew has more fun when the whole family is there too. Less pressure from our dad.”

"Oh? How do things get to be so pressured?" I asked with a tilt to my head. I couldn't think of a time where I had Kyra's undivided attention like this. It was rare and it was making the start of this break feel wonderful! Breaks were interesting times when everyone left. The school was so empty and the small amount of staff that stayed they didn't really mind what the students did.

Kyra:

I frowned a little. “Andrew isn’t as interested in all the things dad wants him to be, he doesn’t try as hard here, he just doesn’t do what dad wants. Dad had to take care of his sister and my mom when they were all younger. Their parents died when they were our age, so they were on their own. And my dad had to step up and grow up really fast. HE knew all this stuff already, he didn’t go to a school to learn it, you know? So he sees Andrew not trying hard and it makes him mad, because he didn’t have this luxury. People were trying to kill them and stuff.” I explained. “But he doesn’t pressure me. I do want to be here. I want to learn it all.”

I spread my hands in a helpless gesture with a shrug. "I wouldn't know how to help with that. Andrew is good, I mean he is better than I am in a lot of area's. He is smart as hell, but...I don't know. I think your dad should cut him a little bit of slack. Just getting into the school is hard enough but staying as long as he has is another matter entirely."

Kyra:

“I know. That’s what I tell him. Andrew is pretty good. He just wants us to be some of the best. He really just wants what is best for us, and he sees this as the only way to get it.” I shrugged. “I’m just hoping one of them will come around.”

"It will all work out in the end I imagine. Family is pretty close right?" I wasn't fully sure how close family was but I pretended.

Kyra:

“Yeah, our family is very close.” I agreed, assuming he meant my family. “And I know my dad and brother love each other. It just gets frustrating sometimes when it’s just the three of us. So I’m glad we’ll be going home to a full house.” I smiled. “I’m sure you’ll have fun here too. You’ll have to fill me in on everything that goes on. I remember the stories of last time when Dayo almost got expelled for bringing back beer.”

I snickered softly at that as I moved out of the way for some teachers to get by. The motion brought me closer to her, so I was standing close to her. I looked down at her, for once my brain not dipping my eyes down into her cleavage. "I'm jealous. But one day I'll get to do things with my dad and mom. They are doing important things. So I don't mind." I rubbed the back of my head, "But yeah I'll fill you in on everything."

Kyra:

I felt a little bad for him, he seemed sad that he couldn’t join his family. It didn’t seem right that they wouldn’t make time for him, even just for a week. “Kyra,” I heard my brother coming from behind us. He eyed Pablo standing so close to me and gave us a disapproving look. My cheeks colored, realizing how close he really was to me.

I didn't move away at first, I simply gave an amused shrug to Andrew. I did move away after that shrug, stepping backwards and folding my arms across my chest. "Olá Andrew."

Kyra:

My brother gave a half, uninterested wave to Pablo. Unlike me, he wasn’t well liked here, and he liked less people than actually did like him. “Everything is packed. We’re supposed to go wait for the car that’s going to pick up.” He told me.

My smile faltered a bit. "I should let you both get going then." I said softly, a faint note of disappointment coloring my voice. "Enjoy your break Kyra." I pulled a phone out of my pocket to check the time before sliding it back into my pocket.

Kyra:

“You too!” I smiled brightly. “I’ll see you when I get back! Have fun!” I called to him as my twin towed me away.

I waved to her with a bright grin before my smile faded away as I stood alone in the hallway. I was alone now, and I didn't need to pretend for any of it.

Kyra:

My brother towed me away quickly to gather our bags and head to the front where we would be picked up and taken to the airport. I was leaving to see my family, and I was ecstatic about that, but when I came back I knew in a way I would also be coming back to family.

Kira:

I relaxed under the spray of the hot water. I could have showered in my room, but I decided against it. I was going to practice here in the gym, and well...I wanted to peace and quiet of a large room.

Jonah:

The dorm rooms were empty of all the students going home by midday. I had spent a couple luxurious hours reading, one of the few things I did for fun. I closed the book and returned it to my room. I dressed to work out, I knew that's where Kira had most likely gone, and I told myself that wasn't the reason I was going to the gym.
