Mythic Land (closed)

Velaric:

After a minute I broke the kiss but held her still. “Perhaps you would like to be a little more comfortable? The sofa is rather plush,” I suggested quietly with a small, curved smile. I could feel her pulse from my hand on her neck.

Rye:
I bit my lip and nodded at his question. I pulled away from him and grabbed his hand as it fell from my neck. I looked around for a moment to find the couch and then I plopped down on it, pulling him with me.

Velaric:

I fell lightly onto the sofa next to her and pulled her. I put my hand on her hip to pull facing me and sought her lips again. I had never been with a witch before. Many other races, but not a witch. There was a certain energy about her that sparked, not in a bad way, when I touched her.

Rye:
I deepened the kiss by tilting my head and parting me lips. I lifted both my hands to his perfectly styled hair and ran my fingers through it. He was good at this. Almost too good. It was hard to think clearly when he was touching me.

Velaric:

My hand moved up to her waist from her hip. After another few minutes I moved my lips to her jaw and then her neck. As always, there was a momentary impulse to bite down. I was fed and I had practice resisting the urge. It was only for a second that it crossed my mind I first felt her pulse with my mouth.

Rye:
I gasped when I felt his lips on my neck and my fingers involuntarily gripped the hair at the back of his head. I felt a slight hesitation in his movements and my eyes shot open. "Are you gonna....bite me?" I asked, breathing heavily.

Velaric:

I pulled back enough to look her in the eyes. “You think simply that I’m a vampire that I’m going to bite you? I’m more civilized than that,” I said quietly. I smirked. “That is not first date appropriate.” Even as I spoke I tried to judge if she would be opposed to the idea. Not all of my affairs involved drinking their blood. Some were only sexual. On occasion, they involved neither sex nor blood.

Rye:
I laughed softly and blushed. "Sorry. I've never actually been this close to a vampire," I told him. "I wasn't sure what the protocol was..." I joked with a smirk.

"Is this a date?" I asked, surprised at his use of the word. And the implication that drinking my blood might be second or third date appropriate.

Velaric:

“Of sorts. I’m afraid I’m not very conventional in that regard,” I said and straightened now that we had paused our makeout session. “I had intended to offer you a drink or some other refreshment first but… well, I got distracted.”

Rye:
I smiled again and let go of his hair when he moved away. "Don't worry about it. I wasn't exactly pushing you away," I told him.

Velaric:

“That is true.” I grinned. “But would you like something now? A drink or a snack of some kind?” I asked. I kept a small pantry stocked with items in case I had company. And I had a bar and the skills to make most drinks. Anything she wanted that I didn't have I could call the desk to have it brought to her.

Rye:
I smiled and leaned back against the couch to put a little more distance between us. It kept my head clear. "I'd like some water actually," I said, only just noticing I was thirsty. It seemed his presence distracted me on levels I hadnt anticipated.

Velaric:

I stood up and went to get her a glass of water. Is seemed from her body language that she might be done for the night. I handed her a glass of ice water over the back of the couch. I put my elbows on the back of the couch and leaned down.

“Shall I call you a cab?” I asked, watching her. “Or if you would rather stay here, there is a guest bedroom…”

Rye:
I took a sip of my water and turned to look at him standing behind the couch. I took another sip before answering and raised my eyebrows over the top of the glass. "I dont really need a cab," I said, answering the question without really answering it.

Velaric:

My lips quirked at the corner. “Very well,” I said. I moved back around and took my seat next to her again. I set music to play on the speakers softly. “It’ll be sunrise soon,” I murmured. If we waited long enough we would see the sky lighten and the sun peek up over the city. I had watched the first few minutes once at the risk of being sick afterward.

Rye:
I looked at him in surprise when he mentioned sunrise. Had the time really gotten away from me that much?

"Good thing you have such big windows" I said, jumping up and heading for the window with my glass in hand. It was rare I got to see a sunrise.

Velaric:

I didn’t join her by the window. If I stayed to watch she sunrise with her I would be sick for the rest of the day. Even for just a few minutes. The sky was beginning to lighten to a deep purple. For now I leaned back in the sofa and watched her. I could wait a few more minutes.

Rye:
I saw the sky start to lightening and turned my head with a smile on my face, but Velaric wasn't there. He was still on the couch. I looked at him in confusion for a second before I almost smacked myself.

"You can't watch the sunrise," I said, realizing my mistake.

Velaric:

“It wouldn’t kill me,” I said, meeting her gaze. “But it would make me virtually useless for the next few hours. Usually I screen the windows off during the daytime. But I didn’t want to do that while you were still enjoying the view.”

Rye:
I shrugged and sat back down with him on the couch. "Its not as fun to watch by myself," I told him. It had been so long since I had spent time with other non human beings and it was difficult to remember little quirks like that.

Velaric:

“What do you purpose we do instead?” I asked with a hint of a smile. It pleased me that her interest in me was stronger than her interest what was around her. I could remain in the living room without screens only for another five or so minutes.

Rye:
I shrugged with a smile. "What do you usually do when you have sleepovers?" I asked. I was still extremely curious about him. Obviously he was attractive, but I wasn't sure what his interest in me was.

Velaric:

I smirked. “You assume I have many sleepovers,” I said. She assumed right but she was cute when she was taken aback when I said I wasn’t going to bite her. Usually, at this point, my guests and I were in my bedroom wearing far less clothing.

Rye:
"Well correct me if I'm wrong." I told him with a smirk back. "But you do seem like quite the ladies man," I told him, honestly.

Velaric:

“Mmm, not just,” I said with an amused breath. It mattered more to me if a partner was interesting than what gender they were. I wasn’t too picky in that regard. Neither was I picky in terms of race, though I had preferences of course. I generally steered clear of my own kind. And Werewolves.
