Kat

I moved closer to kai for protection, as i felt safer next to him than i did anywhere else.

Kai:

I sensed Kat moving closer to me and reached out to take her hand.  I didn't know what to do about this guy, he didn't seem likely to leave even if I told him to.  I was never good with people.  "Why don't you come meet the others?" I suggested cooly, Jemma was going to kill me for this, as well as Jeremy.  

i assume Will and 26 are in the same place as we left them?)

I chewed on my lip, just feeling ill at ease. I didn't like what was going on in my head right now. It bothered me, but more than that it scared me.

((I suppose, it’s the next day though.))

Kai:

I tugged Kat’s hand gently back in the direction of the house. With a glance over my shoulder at Jeremy to make sure he was following but not too close, I whispered, “Are you okay?”

I shrugged and looked at him, just wanting reassurance of some sort...I was just scared, and as much as I tried to hide it I knew it was there anyway.

Kai:

I squeezed her hand again.  "We can get Sara to deal with this, okay?  It's alright." I said 

I nodded mutely, my eyes shining with appreciation. I glanced at our hands and a faint blush came to my cheeks.

Kai:

I turned back to Jeremy once we reached the steps up the front porch. “Wait here. I’m going to get my sister.” I told him. “Sara? I need you.” I called taking Kat inside. I waited a minute before my sister came whirling in running a brush through her hair. “What’s up?” “There’s a guy out there, I think he wants to join our group. He says he knows Kat but she doesn’t remember him.” I explained. Sara went to the winder to peak out. “Why are you telling me? Where’s Jem?” She asked. I told her what happened last night and where Jemma was. “Oh. Well you two stay in here. I’ll go talk to him.” She said as she went to the door.

Kat

Ilooked down feeling slightly useless. Why was i always needing to be taken care of?

Kai:

I went to the window to watch her talk to him. I glanced back at Kat and frowned. “What’s wrong? You alright?” I asked in concern.

Kat

My tail flicked unhappily as i said softly. "Why am i always needing to be looked after...both here and at...at...the one place."

Kai:

"That one place?  You mean the school?  And Kat, you're not the only one being looked after, have you seen the way Sara and Jemma treat me?  That's just the way we do things, we look out for each other." I explained. 

Kat

"But...i cant really contribute...all i do is pic things up at the end." I protested weakly.

Kai:

"That's clearly not true.  You found Michael didn't you?  And your ability is potentially very valuable.  And every one cares about you." I said giving her a smile before looking back at my sister.  I watched her talk to Jeremy wondering what they were saying.  

I blinked and smiled a bit as i looked down shyly. It was so confusing to be around him. One moment i would be speechless with butterflies, the next...i would just feel safe.

Kai:

Jeremy took a few steps towards Sara and I instantly paused him. Except nothing happened, my power wasn’t working on him. I frowned, that did nothing to make me like him anymore. Maybe he was just like Michael… My power usually didn’t work on him either.

I watched kai, trying to figure out exactly what was going on with me around him. It just didnt make sense to me...

Kai:

After a while both Sara and Jeremy came in. I continued to try to use my power on him and even tested it on Sara to which she told me off in irritation. Every time I tried to use it on Jeremy though I could see his eyes narrow slightly. When I asked him what DNA types he had he kind of shrugged it off saying he wasn’t quite sure, some kind of white bird her knew.

((And switch again.))

Jemma:

I woke up late in the afternoon. I found that my hand had been absently curling and uncurling gently in Michael’s fur. With a soft groan I sat up.

Kat

I stayed near kai, still trying to deduce my feelings or even why they were there for him. It made little sense for me, but everytime I tried to focus on why I would just get butterflies and think of him...

Michael:

I nuzzled her cheek gently letting out a soft whine to ask if she was ok. I had stayed up the entire time, keeping watch. Not that it would have been easy to sleep with her resting against my hurt ribs and all.

Jemma:

My chest ached and breathing hurt but it wasn’t as extremely painful as it had been last night. I touched the bullet wound carefully and found that it had closed up. Then I stretched my wing out and took the bandages off. I winced, the bones had mended but it was incredibly sore.

Michael

I got to my feet, feeling stiff, bruised and battered. I whined a bit but pushed past the pain and sat facing her still in my larger fox form.

Jemma:

I looked up at him and frowned at the whine. He looked like he was in pain. “Michael, are you hurt?” I asked.

Michael:

I shook my head but as I took a few steps around the small grove of tree's I whined a bit.
