Michael

My eyes widened a bit at her response and i traced her ips softly with mg finger tip tryin to figure u why se was responding like this. I searched her eyes trying to figure it out, to no avail though. They were unreadble as ever.

Jemma:

I exhaled a soft breath thankful that he wasn’t asking question. I trialed my hand further up his arm then kissed the inside of his wrist.

I let her do as she wished. My pulse spiking a bit under her lips. I watched her still feeling confused but also some how touched.

Jemma:

I smiled softly feeling his pulse through my lips. My gaze flicked up to meet his.

I smiled shyly and traced her jaw with my finger tips as i looked into her eyes.

Jemma:

I was actually happy. Happy not having to worry, not having to stop myself, not having to be so strong. I started to lean toward him slowly then froze when pain shot through head, my vision went black, and white noised blanketed my thoughts.

My face had been heating up when she started leaning towards me. But it all came crashing down whencshe passed out aainst me. I held hercignoring the paincfthat went through me at her hittin my ribs.

Jemma:

Everything that had happened since I found Michael the night before blurred through my mind in a matter of seconds. The wall I tried to put up in my mind to stop it was as durable as a sand castle on a beach. Bitterness that wasn’t mine bubbled up inside me and my body convulsed under it. I gasped and blinked when the pressure in my head started to recede. Every inch of my skin that was touching Michael felt like it had been shocked and was now burning. I jerked away from him feeling sick.

Michael

I blinked and reached a hand toward her hesitantly. "Jemma?"

Jemma:

I recoiled from him and backed up against a tree trembling uncontrollably.

Michael

I looked at her feeling a bit hurt, what was she doing? "J-jemma?" I asked beggingly.

Jemma:

I took in several deep breaths to calm myself down. “I’m sorry...” I whispered after the shaking stopped.

Michael

I stayed oncthe ground watchingvhercnervously, uncertaincof what to do.

Jemma:

It took me a minute to realize that there was no longer a burning main in my chest with every breath. I touched the bullet wound. Dried blood flaked off but underneath it was smoothen and not only healed but it looked like I had never been shot. I chewed on my lip unsure if this was a good thing. “Stay here. Don’t move. Don’t change. Just wait for me.” I said as I got to my feet.

Michael

I nodded slowly znd looked down closing my eyes. A voice whispered inthe back of my head. "Phase two is close to being ready."

Jemma:

I took off and flew straight up then circled the area looking for the person I knew had to be here. I searched for about an hour and found no one. There was hardly any place for them to hide. Finally I found an old barn and a blue truck inside that looked even older. I found the keys on a peg in the wall and climbed in to start it. Thankfully it sputtered to life. I drove (not very well) on the dirt roads close to where Michael was. I managed to end up in a shallow ditch and decided that was close enough. I flew the rest of the way back to Michael. I landed lightly and gracefully in front of him. “Lets go.”

I looked at her for several moments before shaking my head. "No."

Jemma:

I stared at him. “Are you kidding me?” I asked flatly, crossing my arms.

Michael

"Never forget, the ones closest to you can be your worst enemies." I said softly.

Jemma:

I blinked and tried to ignore the icy feeling I got down my spine. “What are you talking about?” I demanded.

Michael

I looked away. "Maybe its for the best...maybe imcdoing the right thing..." i said to myself.

Jemma:

I wanted to move towards him bust something kept me rooted to the spot. “Michael, what are you going on about? I don’t understand..”

Michael

I clutced at my head shaking it. "No i cant hurt her...i like her...no...she wouldntcetraycme...." icstarted shaking as a heat haze came around me.

Jemma:

I stared at him, my blood going cold at what he was saying. I kept my wings out just in case I had to get in the air quickly and stepped toward him. “Michael, tell me what’s going on. I can help.”

Michael

"Jemma. Get the others away. Now." I said through gritted teeth as flames stared to lick at the air around me. It wasnt hurting me though oddly enough.
