Jemma:

I watched him, concealing all of my alarm. I wasn’t going to leave him here. “I’m not going.” I said.

Michael

"jemma, if you care about me or the others at all you will leave. Tell Kat 478213firebloom...it's waking up...". I said gritting my teeth.

Jemma:

“What does that mean?” I asked frowning.

Michael

"a code...it will let Kat know everything.". I said. "don't make me force you to go, it won't be fun..."

Jemma:

“You can’t force me, I won’t go until you tell me what is going on.” I said stubbornly. I leaped up onto the tree branch above well out of his reach. “You’re hurt, and clearly unstable, and I’m not. Now you can tell me, or you can have me follow you everywhere. I’m not leaving until I get answers. Not this time.” I said watching him from the branch.

Michel

I crouched and in an instant i lept up and tossed her to the ground. I knelt over her and pressed my lips to hers. I flooded her mind with worry about the others, and calmness about me.

Jemma:

I was momentarily shocked then when I realized what he was doing I threw up a block in my mind. And then I used what he was doing to my advantage and kissed him back, placing my hand at the back of his head and mentally unraveling his thoughts. My power was strongest like this. I was barely even thinking about kissing his, only focusing on my ability.

Michael

I continued the kiss and i sighed into her mind. "I will let you in on a secret, one that you wont remember." I began draining her energy using it to increase mine. "I am the perfect weapon for figting our kind. I absorb powers of others just from being near them. The michael you knew has never existed. Michael has been dead for ten years. I thank you Jemma for all the companionship and for attempting to give me a chance but this is good bye now go." I whispered before shattering the wall in her mind and overpowering her.

Jemma:

“No, no, no!” I gasped weakly my arms falling lifeless but inside my head I was screaming. I was trying to keep him out of my head but my strength was snapping like silk thread and soon I had no power. A thousand memories flooded through my mind fracturing and dissolving. My entire body went limp and my eyes went wide but unseeing.

Michael

I pulled back with tears in my eyes. I took her hand and closed her fingers around my name tag before getting up. I knew that her mind would be recording everything now and so i said softly the code once more for Kat. I hesitated before bringing myclips to her ear and whispering "Adam only has as much control over you as you let him. Follow your heart. I can touch memoies but your heart will remember." With tat i pulled away and telported out of there.

Jemma:

I head someone speaking as if they were very far away. I could tell they were gone but still nothing happened. I could hear everything around me but I could also hear many voices. Was I in some kind of crowed? I couldn’t see anything… suddenly my mind filled with images but they were distorted, like I was looking through a kaleidoscope. I moaned flinching away from the pictures but they moved with me. The crowed got louder, everyone was speaking at once, all at me. I blinked and the nose became a ringing in my ears as my surroundings came into focus.

Michael

I hated to leave her, but she wasnt going to just let me go otherwise. Plus i had left the information about me sealed in her head. If she worked on it she would be able to start remebering me again. I flashed into existance in the midst of a lRge ring, surrounded by hidden shadows of those who created me. "Excelent. Welcome back Shade."

Jemma:

I sat up slowly and put a hand to my head. My mind felt like it had been sent through a wood chipper. I moaned again and got to my hands and knees feeling like I was going to be sick. After a moment I tried to stand and had to steady myself on a tree. Where was I? And why was I here? Where was- I had to think for a moment before settling on Kai, though that didn’t seem the right name. All my memories of Kai washed through my mind clearing it a bit. So I needed to find him, but where was he? Again memories washed through my mind filing in black spots but it still seemed somewhat pieced together. What happened to me?

Kat

I didnt mean too but i fell asleep on the couch, curled up into a bzll in the sunlight.

Kai:

I sat on one of the bar stools in the kitchen watching Kat and Jeremy in the living room. “She should have been back by now. It wasn’t that far, you showed me the map. Do you think they got hurt? Or maybe they had to stop for the night. Jemma’s not super woman, she still has to sleep. But it’s already mid-day..” Sara speed whispered. If I had been anyone else I wouldn’t have been able to understand a word she said. And Jeremy didn’t look like he could hear, he just sat there watching Kat sleep. I hated him.

Kat

I reached out in my sleep to where kai had been and i let out an unhappy sound at him notcbeing close. I began to stir my body wanting to be ear him

Kai:

“Kai?” My sister nudged my arm. “You’re right.” I said. “About? You think they stopped for the night? Kai, even if they did they should have made it back by now. I think I’ll go look.” I grabbed her arm after she finished. “No don’t, if something hurt Jemma, then it is far more dangerous to you. You’re safer here.” I said. “How can you say that? Aren’t you worried? I don’t care if I get hurt! I just want Jemma and Michael back.” Her voice became whiny. “Maybe they are both fine. Maybe they just don’t want to come back yet. Maybe they want to be alone.” She stared at me after I said it. “Are you kidding me?”

Kat

I sat up and rubbed my eyes yawning cutely in kais direction. I got up and moved into the kitchen still ostly asleep.

Kai:

I smiled at Kat as she came into the kitchen. “Kat! Can’t you sense if someone is close by? Can’t you feel their energy or something like that?” My sister immediately asked her.

I blinked then nodded. I closed my eyes and sent out a pulse of energy, tding to find an energy source i recognized or hadnt felt before. I shook my head as i opened my eyes. "No one is within a mile of this place."

Kai:

“That’s it. I’m going to go look for them.” Sara said determinedly. I paused her before she could dash away then grabbed her arm. “Kai let me go.” She said trying to jerk away. “I need to find them.” “Find who?” Sara and I both startled at Jeremy speaking so close to us.

Kat

I yawned feeling the effects of using so much o my power still. I was drained mentally and physically.

Kai:

“Jemma. She will be back soon though. I’m sure.” I said mostly for his benefit. I gave Sara a look. “We could both go.” She whispered leaning in close so just I could hear. “I don’t want to leave K-“ I started to breath back but she cut me off. “We could all go.”

Jeremy glanced at the two clearly absorbed in their own conversation. “Here.” He said holding his hand out to Kat and turning it over with an orange appearing in it. “It’ll help with the energy.”

Kat

I blinked and gave him a tired smile before takingvthe orange. I ran my fingers over it absently for a moment before beginning to peel it.

Jeremy watched her peel it gradually then lost patience and the peel spiraled off by itself.
