Jemma:

Sara glanced at me, I shrugged. “Wow, well nice to meet you.. I’m Sara.” She said with a sweet smile then it faded. “I’m sorry about your brother… We all loved him.”

Alex:

I shrugged. "Its not the first family member I lost, and he never knew about any one besides me. I am just glad that he was happy with you guys." I said giving her a small smile. I gestured to the pot of food. "I brought dinner." I said as I slipped out of my sweatshirt.

Sara:

“Oh, wonderful.” I said still a little surprised. “I’ll go get the kids.” I darted out of the room.

Jemma:

I smiled softly after her. Sweetness had never been something I had mastered, and Sara was naturally.

Alex:

"Well that wasn't what I expected." I said absently. I had been told during my thing that Sara was a natural flirt, that she might be all over me. This reaction wasn't what I expected. We would just have to see.

Kat:

I was completely exhausted, I had been spending every night while Jemma was asleep feeding energy into her, to help her. Kai was really the only thing keeping me going at this point, his quiet encouragement and presence was keeping me together and from collapsing.

Jemma:

I leaned against the counter. “She’s a wild card.” I said. I was more worried about Kai’s reaction than anyone else. His opinion mattered most to me.

Kai:

I sat next to Kat in the bed rubbing her back with one hand while I held my book in another. I glanced up when my sister came in. “Jem’s back with dinner, and something else..” She trailed off. “What else?” I asked curious at her tone. “Come see, both of you. And Kat you need to eat.” She said.

Kat:

I blinked tiredly as I sat up rubbing at the bags under my eyes. I leaned against Kai as I looked up at Sara my exhaustion plain on my face. It had been a few days since I had last eaten anything. I slowly got out of bed, pulling the straps of the cammi I wore up on my shoulders. It didn't fit me like it used to, my body having lost a lot of its muscle and any fat I had.

Kai:

I eyed Kat. “Can’t you just bring us some?” I asked Sara reaching my hand out to take Kat’s pulling her back a little.

Kat:

With Kai pulling me, I lost my balance and fell into Kai's lap. I blinked and sat their a bit stunned before looking up at Kai and then at Sara, my eyes questioning on what I was supposed to do. Did I go and eat or did I stay here.

Alex:

I looked at Jemma, tilting my head a bit as I asked softly. "What is going through your head? This has got to be a rather trying time for you."

Kai:

My arms wound around her automatically. “Yeah. I’ll see what I can do.” Sara said before leaving. I sighed softly and rested my cheek on the top of Kat’s head, holding her close as securely.

Jemma:

I shrugged. “The hardest part is over.” I said just as Sara came back in. “Can’t I just take them a plate? Kat doesn’t feel too well.” She asked. I frowned. “Yeah, I’ll take it.” I glanced at Alex before dishing up a couple of plates for Kai and Kat.

Kat:

Being warm and safe in his arms, dropped me to sleep within moments, causing me to relax into his arms as one strap left my shoulder to slip down my arm. The garment was just to big for me right now.

Alex:

I nodded slowly, my eyes on her trying to figure her out. If I breathed deep enough I could catch very faint scents of Michael. It was surprisingly comforting to be able to get his scent again.

Jemma:

I took the food to Kai’s room. “Hey,” He said softly upon seeing me. I went over to sit at the edge of the bed and set the plates on the side table. “What’s wrong with her?” I asked worriedly. Had I not noticed Kat’s state before? Or had I just not cared? Either bothered me.

Kai:

“She’s exhausted.” I told Jem. I felt awful for taking all of Kat’s spare energy. I knew she wasn’t in too bad of shape, because I was still functioning, but I couldn’t give her my extra energy like I used to, because all of it came from her. I sighed and looked up to Jemma’s eyes. “You look better.” I commented in surprise. She had more color now then she had in a while.

Sara:

“So Jem found you?” I asked curiously, watching Alex. He did kind of look like Michael… Except he was hot, and Michael had been mostly cute.

Alex:

I blinked and shook my head. "No, I kind of found her. I wanted to see who could capture my brothers heart...she didn't disappoint." I said the last part mostly to myself but still out loud. I shrugged absently and looked at her as I ate my food, waiting for another question.

Sara:

“How old are you?” I asked getting a plate for myself and sitting down at the table, still watching him.

Alex:

I smiled softly. "Well...do you want actually or technically?" I asked flashing a playful mischievous grin. I sat on the counter and ate watching her curiously.

Kat:

I groaned and the smell of the food roused me a little. "Fish...gimmie...." I mumbled still mostly out of it. I tried sitting up, not realizing I was still in Kai's lap. All I managed to do was nearly fall over onto the floor. If it wasn't for Kai's arms being around me I would have. I blinked at the floor and then up at Jemma. "You look confused on what to do. Follow your heart. Your heart is usually right." I said with a huge yawn.

Sara:

I laughed. “Both?” I asked.

Jemma:

“My heart isn’t usually the one that gets an option.” I said with a shrug. Was I confused? “Eat this, Kat, You need it. You can’t let yourself get this depleted.”

Kat:

I reached up with both arms and hugged Jemma from Kai's lap. "Well, maybe it should." I whispered softly into her ear. I let my mind radiate that she looked so much brighter than she had previously. I had guesses as to why, but in all I didn't know what had brought this change even if it was good. I looked at the plate and licked my lips hungrily.

Alex:

"Well, Technically 4 since I was born on the 29th of Febuary. In actually I'm a year younger than Michael." I said with a soft chuckle.

Jemma:

I sighed and handed her the plate. “Make sure she eats it all, and then make sure she gets some sleep.” I told Kai. He nodded.

Sara:

“So, what, seventeen?” I asked, I couldn’t remember exactly how old Michael had bee.

Alex:

I shrugged, "No idea really, I was never able to find out. I just know I'm about a year younger." I said taking another bite of food.

Kat:

I took the plate and started eating with gusto. I loved fish, it was the cat part of me.

Kai:

I smiled as I watched her. I took a couple bites from my own plate and purred softly.

Jemma:

“A year younger?” I questioned coming back to the kitchen. I had forgotten that leaving Sara alone with an attractive guy was maybe not the best of plans. And Alex was very attractive, I noticed as I looked him over.

I blinked and squirmed a bit. "Why do I suddenly feel like a piece of meat being evaluated...." I asked no one in particular. I brushed off the question before answering Jemma. "Yeah, I'm about a year younger than Michael. I know when I was born, not the year though. But I have no idea about him. He always just said he was a year older."

Jemma:

“He wasn’t much younger than me.” I answered, leaning against the counter. “So eighteen or so..” I said thoughtfully looking at the tile. I could actually talk about Michael to Alex without feeling the need to go curl up under the covers.

Alex:

I nodded. "Yeah, only reason I think he told me his age was because of him having to go to the breeding area for testing." I said giving an absent shrug. "From what I hear, the things they did to him, made him sterile. But they never bothered telling him." I looked at the tile. "Worse things could have happened I supposed. When he became a fox they could have neutered him." I grinned at that thought.

Jemma:

I blinked in surprise and my eyes met Sara’s. I was sure we were thinking the same thing. How was demi possible? I had puzzled over it a million times. I knew I hadn’t done an thing with Michael.. that I could remember… But it wouldn’t have mattered if what Alex said was true

Alex:

I looked between the two curiously. "What? Did I say something wrong?" I asked blinking. It was like something I had said had reminded them of something. Interesting. I would have to remember that and what I said, maybe I could get them to tell me later.

Kat:

I finished my plate and just relaxed against him, watching him eat. Right as he was about to take a bite I dipped my head forward and kissed him, distracting him so I could turn and take the bite of fish for myself. I blinked at him innocently as I settle down again.

Jemma:

“No, it’s just that-“ Sara started but cut off with the shake of my head. I didn’t know Alex well after all, and I didn’t want to give information about Demi away to just anyone.

Kai:

I blinked then sighed, setting my plate down and holding Kat close. “You have to sleep now, Jemma’s orders.” I mumbled nuzzling her neck.
