hm weird me....hell yes (open)

Kat:

I peeked at Sara sheepishly before sitting up to quickly steal a bite out of one of her pancakes before I settled back against Kai.

Alex:

"My guess, they were getting in their own little world, and may have started down the path towards making children." I cut a small piece of pancake with my fork and dipped it in syrup before remarking absently. "Hm...If I ever have a kid. I hope its a girl that we can name Demi." I looked up at her, brushing aside my comment and smiling pointing the fork at her lips. "Now, either you eat this like a normal person. Or I eat it, and feed you like a bird." My smile grew playful as I spoke.

Jemma:

I froze at Demi’s name. My mind had been a whirl of horrible images of what Kai and Kat might have been doing but it stopped when he said that. I stared at him wide eyed, not even hearing what he had said after her name.

Sara:

I looked at them suspiciously while I chewed my mouth full of pancake. “Kat, how old are you?” I asked after I swallowed and just before I stuck another bite in.

Kat:

I blinked and my face scrunched up a bit before I said softly. "I don't know exactly...I have never known what day I was born. But...um...thirteen I think." I said honestly.

Alex:

I blinked at her expression before poking her lips with the piece of pancake. "I'm serious, either eat this right now. Or I feed it to you like a mother bird does." I said cheerfully, having no idea what she was thinking.

Jemma:

I snatched the fork out of his hand and jumped to my feet on the chair holding it loosely at my side. My wings peaked out a little, ready for flight if I needed to. “What kind of game are you playing?” I hissed. “What do you know about her?”

Kai:

“Uh-huh.” Sara said thoughtfully. “Where’s Jem?” She asked innocently. “You’re going to tattle on us.” I stated flatly. “No! I just want to know where she is.. I’m not going to tattle....”

((Alex doesn't know about Demi. The school had info on her of course, but since she vanished they stopped caring. This is all Alex.))

Alex:

I looked at her confused. "Huh? What are you talking about? Do you know a Demi?" I asked tilting my head. It was written all over my face, I wasn't lying or telling a half truth about this. I had no idea that there was a little girl with fox ears and wings named Demi.

((I know but Jemma doesn’t))

Jemma:

I stared at him. He was either a very talented actor… Or someone had told him, or something, mentioned the name.. or something…. Maybe Michael… “Why did you say that name?” I asked carefully.

Alex:

"It's honestly the name I have always wanted to name my daughter should I ever had one." I looked down and let out a soft breath before looking up at her. My voice was barely a whisper, but it was firm. "My sisters name was Erin Demi (insert last name here.) That was what she was called." I searched her face, unable to understand her issue with that.

Jemma:

“Oh.” I slowly sat down in the chair again, chewing on the inside of my cheek. “Your sister.” I said softly. Michael’s sister too… But none of it made any sense. Demi might not even exist anymore. Who knows how she even came to be. What if Michael dying made her cease to exist? What if she was gone forever like him? I stared into nothing, frowning.

Alex:

"Michael never wanted children...Erin and I did. We agreed to name them after each other. I Demi, her Alex. It was our one dream we had at the school...one that I cut short." I shrugged before setting the plate in her lap. "I'm going for a walk." I said simply, slipping my hands into my pockets before just walking away.

Jemma:

I stared down at the plate. Michael had never mentioned his sister. Not once. Of course he had never mentioned his brother either… I wondered how close they really were. Alex was obviously close with his sister, he talked about her often and I had only known him for a little while… I thought how tragic it would be to have a family like that and now be all alone. Both siblings having died so horribly… I ate half the plate of pancakes because I was hungry then set it aside and jogged after him.

Alex:

I sat down in a clearing, playing my hands on my knees as I let my powers flow out of me. A tree in front of me, was slowly obliterated, while memories of my sister and a younger me ran about. On one side was me experiencing my first time getting my powers, and the fear I had gone through. I was young, young as Kai when Jemma had taken him. And the darkness hadn't been my friend then. It was a living hell every second. On the other, an image of my sister was playing with a younger version of me. My own body was slightly see through, as a shadowy haze seemed to come through me, and around me.

Jemma:

I leaned against a tree watching him from behind. I was completely silent. It was interesting what he was doing, like a projection of my power almost. And I got to see his sister. She even looked like Demi a little. Both of them did as kids.

Alex:

I let my powers take more control, and soon a wind was being whipped up as things around me started getting ripped a part. I only let it wild for a few seconds before stopping. Everything stopped, and I slumped a bit letting out a soft sigh before whispering softly, loud enough that she could hear. "What should I do Erin..." I was speaking to myself, having no idea that she was here.

Jemma:

I hugged the tree when I felt the wind whip at my cheeks. Now I was unsure if I should have followed him. I wasn’t exactly sure of his power after all..

I flopped onto my back to look up at the sky. "The power of shadows...to consume everything and get nothing...that is what I am I suppose." I continued. I put my arm over my eyes and just laid there, lost in my thoughts.

Jemma:

I moved over to him slowly. “Alex?” I said softly so as not to startle him when I sat down next to him. I was overcome with the desire to pull his head into my lap and smooth his hair back from his forehead.

I uncovered my face. I looked into her eyes, my face showing how vulnerable I felt right now. But I didn't move, didn't respond. I just laid there looking up at her.

Jemma:

I scooted closer to him. I sat cross-legged, almost close enough for my let to touch his arm. I didn’t know what I could tell him, what I could do to make it better. So I decided to distract him. “I never had any siblings. I have Kai now, and the others, but it’s more like they’re my children. When I was young, I was always the oldest of the kids I was with, I took care of them mostly. Adam was the closest think I had to family. I don’t know if you know anything about Adam. A lot of kids at the School knew him or knew of him. I was made for him. The perfect match.” I didn’t realize I was doing it but I had taken hold of his hand in mine. “Of course I’m nowhere near the girl I was then. They pushed us both past the limit. Him more than me. I can still remember back before I realized how horrifying the school was. I had been compliant. I had even helped do some horrible things. I didn’t know I was doing them, I was so innocent… I’m still not sure what atrocities I have done without knowing it. Adam tried to protect me back before he was driven from his mind with unlimited power. Mixing something pure with something tainted doesn’t make it better, it reacts badly. They had ruined him and tried to fix it with angle blood.” I took in a deep breath. I wasn’t taking about the man Adam was now, I was talking about a boy I had loved dearly. “He changed, he wasn’t caring. He did everything they told him. He still protected me… But some things he couldn’t stop. He wouldn’t go against them. They destroyed the girl I was… The day they made me preform an experiment on my best friend was the day I broke. They made me take the memories of those she loved. They made me cause her to forget herself. I don’t thinks she’s every recovered, I can’t allow her to remember everything because it would conflict with the person she is now… But I stole her brother away, she didn’t know him anymore, and I couldn’t bare the pain he would be caused by having his world taken from him. So I took him and we got out. I’ve tried to heal some of the horrible things I’ve done with protecting him. He didn’t have to grow up in the school. He didn’t have to cry into his pillow every night knowing that in the morning he would be tortured again.” I was playing with his hand now, slowly stroking his fingers, touching the tips to mine. My mind was lost in the past though, my eyes staring through the trees. “I’ve even done some horrible things outside the school. To stay alive mostly, but still unforgivable. I’m afraid that someday he’ll realize what I am. That someone will find out.. Only one person truly knows me, and he’d like to strangle me and watch the life drain from my eyes…” My hands trembled for a moment.

Alex:

"I see....so you were the matron from that ward." I said softly. "I observed you once. Then you left. They put me into your ward, and now...it doesn't exist. I'm sorry..." I gave her hand a gently squeeze before lacing my fingers with one of her hands, and rolling a bit onto my side so that my other hand could replace what she was playing with. "Did you know they kept a record of kills? Two people are far above the rest. Me and Adam. After I visited your old ward, I stopped checking the board."

"Your strong Jemma. There are things that can be forgiven, and there are things that can't. What the school made you do, isn't your fault. You weren't the same then. What you did willingly, as far as I can tell you have made up for. You have helped provide a home for so many. Don't place yourself in the same shoes as a monster. You haven't been one, though you have met three."

Jemma:

“Oh I’ve met more than three.” I muttered darkly. If he didn’t want to believe that I was horrible, I wasn’t going to push it on him. I didn’t need him to turn against me. I didn’t want him to turn against me. “But who are you saying is the third?” I asked, assuming he was referring to himself and Adam, but I didn’t know who else he meant. Unless he meant a white coat back at school, but there had been more than one monster there, though a few stuck out vividly.

Alex:

"Michael." I said simply. "He was raised to be a soldier. The group given the powers to morph had three forms usually. A regular, a travel, and a battle. I have seen the after math of his battle form, its not pretty. For him or his target. Kat has it too, though to my knowledge she has never gone into two of those." I gave a small shrug. "View yourself as a monster if you want, but you have yet to see a true monster."

Jemma:

I sucked in a breath and tried to swallow the lump in my throat. “Michael wasn’t a monster. Whatever he did, it wasn’t his fault.” I said sharply, in his defense. That’s why I had loved him, because he was different from Adam. To accuse him of being like that.. I noticed my hand in his and jerked them both away.

Alex

I laughed harshly and was on my feet quickly. I began pacing before just stopping. "You know so little about him dont you." I shook my head. "Let me tell you about the michael i know." I stopped and looked at her, noting her expression before shaking my head. "You wont believe me anyway, i can see it. Go back to the others." I walked past her to head deeper into the woods, the shadows seeming to be drawn to me. I was upset, and my control over shadows showed it.

Jemma:

I got to my feet slowly. My heart was beating a little too quickly, I was unnerved, but I didn’t want to go back to the house. I was drawn to Alex, and I wasn’t completely sure it was because I had loved his brother. I followed after him, even though I didn’t like the dark and he seemed to be veiled in it. “Wait. I want to know.” I said once I caught up to him. I shoved my hands in my pockets and walked a few feet away from him, but I could keep up easily. “Tell me about him.”

Alex

I sighed through my nose and just began speaking. I told her about the trainin process to become a guard. The trial that was simply called, the blood baptism. I told her about our families gene that made us slightoy blood thirsty. I described in detail the remains of the room after michaels baptism. And finally i told her how michael had been placed on the execution squad. The group that people feared would come for them in the school. It never went quick. This all was michaeos world, and i told her about his feelings for it. And that it wasnt untilhe got traped in hi basic form that he finally calmed down and left that life.
