Boarding School for the Mythical

Tabitha:

I clasped my hands together and looked down at the table with a blush staining my cheeks. “Well,” I said slowly. “Do you want it to be?” I asked. Feeling butterflies fluttering in my stomach, I peeked up at him nervously.

I bit my lip noting every little reaction she did. I nodded slowly and shyly, my eyes finding the table. It was too much to look at her right now. "But I do feel bad...did I ruin a date of yours already?"

Tabitha:

I blinked in confusion. “What?” I asked, puzzled

"You were wearing a really nice dress and were sitting at a table with the guy who smells like a wolf." I remarked, looking up at her.

Tabitha:

“Oh..” I said slowly. “No, that’s okay.. We’re just friends.” I muttered, looking back to the table.

"You could tell me the truth instead." I remarked quietly.

Tabitha:

I looked up at him. “That is the truth. We went out a few times but that’s it. I’m not interested in him.” I said, a little defensively.

"Mmhmm, usually one doesn't go on dates with just friends, or when your not interested. Even if you do it for the other person, its not nice to play them like that." I remarked.

Tabitha:

I drew in a breath at that. “I wasn’t! He asked me, so I went to see how things turned out. After a couple dates I realized I wasn’t interested in anything more.” I explained. “I was not playing him.” I said sharply.

I nodded slowly, holding my hands up in defense. "Calm down, I must admit that I was doing that as a test. I was curious what your limit was before...well the other you came out." I looked down at the table and sighed softly before looking up at her again, my eyes catching hers. "Tabitha, no matter what happens or what this..." I gestured between the two of us. "Turns into. The one I like is this one." I tapped her nose with my finger, before brushing that finger of her cheek. "Not the other one. But I will take the other one as well if I must. But to me this will always be the better one and my favorite."

Tabitha:

I looked at him for a moment before dropping my gaze to stare at my lap and bite my lip.

I squirmed a little in my seat, not sure if I had said the right thing or not.

Tabitha:

“I don’t- She doesn’t come out often. I’ve learned a bit to control her..” I said slowly

I nodded and offered my hand out to her. "Okay. I really am sorry if I made you uncomfortable...."

Tabitha:

I sighed softly and took his hand. “It’s just, dealing with something I never knew I had until recently.. it’s hard..”

I nodded in understanding. "You seem to have it under control, and I will do anything I can to help Tabitha." I said, bringing her hand to my lips.

Velaric:

I watched them through the window. They were disgustingly cute, him kissing her hand, her blushing and looking down like she was shy. I flicked the car radio on, tuning it absently. I just wanted to get out of here, and for Sphinx to come with me. And the girl to disappear.

???:

I landed lightly from the roof, looking around for a moment at the cars before letting out a soft breath. I was alone...finally. It was a good feeling. I pushed back my bangs of my crimson red hair, the same color as blood. I then adjusted the hood of my cloak, it matched the gray form fitting outfit that I was wearing. It was made of many strips of cloth, wrapped around and tied to me. My pants though were the same as one might see if they went to a dojo or any place that did a form of martial arts. It was completely unrestricting, and worked well at letting myself blend in to the surroundings. Not that most humans noticed me anyway. If they did, all it was they saw was a girl in a loose T-shirt, and a simple pair of blue jeans. I moved slowly past a coffee shop, glancing in absently, not caring about the occupants. It wasn't the coffee shop that drew my attention as I paused, it was a car. With a form inside. I glanced at it before resuming walking.

Velaric:

My eyes followed the girl who walked in front of the car. She clearly wasn’t human but what was she? I rolled down the car window to see if I could catch the scent of her blood.

???:

I heard the rolling of the car window, and I crouched, pushing off with my legs to do a quick little flip in the air to land on the edge of the roof. I let my eyes wander over the few people below before tilting my head to look at the car and the person inside.

Velaric:

My eyes trailed her without any trouble, and my brows went up when I saw her jump to the roof. I folded my arms on the car door and watched her, my silver eyes glinting from the street lamp.

I tilted my head the other way when I saw his eyes from the streetlamp. I bowed to him, now sure it was a he. He had been able to follow me with his eyes, an impressive thing. He wasn't human then.

Velaric:

I stretched my arm out and motioned for her to come over before leaning back into the shadows of the car. I sipped the last of the blood in my cup before putting it in a plastic bag, sealing it, and shoving it under the back seat. I swished my mouth out with water then popped a mint to hide the scent of blood, just in case she had heightened senses.

I rolled my eyes and stood up, flipping over to land next to the car. I tilted my head once more before peeking in.

Velaric:

I breathed her in. Not a scent I was familiar with, yet it was enticing. “What are you doing here?” I asked her simply, as if I she and I had been acquainted before.
