Boarding School for the Mythical

Velaric:

At the moment the blinds on the picture window were open, displaying the view of down town and the sparkling city lights. I would have to close them before I bent to bed to prevent the sunlight from coming in. I moved over to the kitchen. “Care for anything to drink? Or eat? What do you eat anyways?” I asked.

Vivian:

"Um, I can eat or drink anything a human can, and somethings they can't." I said going over to the window and pressing my hands to the glass as I peered out. "It's beautiful." I said, my hair that sat much like feathers swishing a bit from the movement of me going to the window.

Velaric:

I poured her a glass of some kind of juice Sphinx had in the fridge before walking over to her and offering it out. “There is a guest bedroom, last door at the end of the hall.” I told her, eyeing her bag.

I took the glass of juice, smelling at it before taking a sip. My eyes lit up before I turned to look at the view once more. "I didn't think a city could be so beautiful." I whispered to him, as if being loud would disturb the image in front of me, making it go away.

((I’ve decided I want Velaric to be older than I original said he was..))

Velaric:

I smiled softly leaning against the glass to watch her. “It is beautiful.” I said softly, not taking my eyes off of her.

((Alrighty, how old is he then?))

I continued to look out for a moment before finally feeling his gaze on me.

Velaric:

I stared into her eyes for a few long moments before asking softly, “Aren’t you tired?”

I shrugged my shoulders a little. "I don't really have to sleep if I spend enough time out in the sun. I think its called a battery...what ever that is I think I work like that."

Velaric:

I smiled slightly. “We are very different creatures, you and.” I commented softly before moving over to the couch and flopping down onto it. I leaned my head back, looking up at the ceiling.

I moved over to start exploring the house, starting in the kitchen and wandering through the living to start heading back into the two bedrooms.

Velaric:

I closed my eyes but listened to her soft footsteps. I could tell exactly where she was by sound alone.

I peeked into the first room and drew in a breath. "This is the other guys room right? It smells ancient...almost like it has had something timeless in it." I moved onto the other one, stepping inside and exploring Velarics room.

Velaric

If his seemed ancient what was my defining quality? Death? My room didn’t smell like blood though. My room didn’t smell like anything. To most creatures I had an appealing scent, but that didn’t apply to others of my kind.

I drew in a breath in the room, tilting my head as I narrowed my eyes. I couldn't identify what the scent was. I moved over to a set of drawers and pulled it open, pulling out one of the shirts and bringing it to my nose. I perked up and closed my eyes and breathed in the scent.

Velaric:

There was nothing in my room of much importance to me. I had all my valuable items in a safe in the living room. The things that had stayed with me the longest.

I came out holding the shirt in my hands before getting distracted and grabbing an apple from the counter. I sat down on the floor, my legs tucked underneath me.

Velaric:

I opened my eyes and looked at her, noting my shirt in her hands. “Are you tired?” I asked.

"A bit." I admitted as I wandered over to the window again, looking out. I still held his shirt in my hand, having forgotten about it completely.

Velaric:

“Not long before sunrise now. I can show you to your room if you like?” I asked.

I kept my eyes on the window and the sights beyond for several more minutes before turning to face him. I nodded once, looking over my shoulder to the view one more time.

Velaric:

I got up and grabbed the remote from the counter. I pressed a button and the metal blinds slowly started concealing the view. I went to her and put my hand lightly on her back, leading her to the guest bedroom.

I hugged his shirt to my chest absently as I let him lead me to the bedroom.

I opened the bedroom door for her then looked down at my shirt. “Are you keeping that?” I asked in amusement.

"Keep what?" I asked trying to follow his eyes. When I focused on the shirt I held it out to him shyly.

Velaric:

“You can have it if you want.” I told her. “I never really was into The Beatles.” I said with a smile. It was an actual Beatles concert tee, but not one of my favorites.
