Boarding School for the Mythical

Velaric:

I sighed as I picked up the bottle of blood. I wasn’t remotely thirsty, but I could understand his wanting to keep me fed. No more mishaps. I sipped it slowly. “Did you see her when you went back?” I asked.

I shook my head. "No, but I left a note." I said with a shrug. "Dont have to drink now Velaric, not if you dont want to. Its a precaution in case you need it before we leave. Rest, we need our strength."

Velaric:

I flopped down on the couch. “How come you’ve never liked vampire chicks? They’re immortal.” I asked looking at him with slited eyes.

Sphinx:

"Because biting me is bad." I said simply flashing him a grin. "Remember how hyper and absolutely out of it when you bit me that one time?" I chuckled softly at the memory. He had gotten into a fight with a boulder and had spent a week beating it with his fists.

Velaric:

I smirked. “They don’t always bite.” I murmured closing my eyes and leaning my head back. “You know, sometimes in Alaska, it’s dark for days. What do you think about Alaska?” I asked him.

Sphinx:

"The cold would suck, but it would be good for you, so lets do it." I said before going back to the other conversation. "And I know all of them dont bite, but being that close to a vampire for so long? Its not healthy for either of us. What ever happened to your girl?" I asked looking over at him.

Velaric:

I sighed. “The fey? She was too emotional.” I said with a shrug.

I nodded. "Mmm, couldn't be as emotional as the elemental you dated once. You pissed her off and she burned the house down." I said flashing him a grin. My issues were always the friends I made. I had never been in a relationship though.

Velaric:

“Not quite. I like calm quiet girls, I think. I’ll go for one of those next time.” I chuckled softly to myself.

I laughed. "Mmm, well who knows what we might find up north." I said with a shrug. "We might even find you an immortal of your own."

Velaric:

“You’re the only immortal I need.” I said opening my eyes to wink. I laughed after.

I snorted and laughed hard. "I'm afraid I dont swing your way. Maybe we can find a big burly Alaskan with lots of hair for you." I said teasingly.

Velaric:

I laughed and shook my head. “Big and harry is not my type.” I muttered. “But I still have hope. An eternity is an awful long time you know.”

Sphinx:

"How will you know when you have found the one?" I asked him suddenly after several long moments had passed.

Velaric:

“I’ve watched too many people die to believe that there is just one.” I said with a shrug. “The options get slim if you want someone who can spend forever with you.”

"Yeah?" I asked softly. "Well, think about it this way, you find the right girl, if she isn't immortal...you can make her one. I cant do that."

Velaric:

“True. I’m not sure I’ll ever find someone I like enough to turn though. And there are other ways to becoming immortal. They are just quite a bit more risky than vampirism.” I said.

I nodded. "True, besides who wants to be an ego filled vampire." I shot towards him playfully.

Velaric:

I laughed. “Not my fault I’m prettier than you.” I answered with a smirk.

Sphinx:

"Funny how all the guys are attracted to you though, while the girls go for me." I countered with a laugh.

Velaric:

“Not all the girls. I’m just universally attracting. I’ve even had a cat fall in love with me.” I said proudly.

Sphinx:

I laughed. "You are better with getting people to fall in love with you than you are with animals. Animals are my department remember?"

Velaric:

“But that I got an animal to like me at all is quite an achievement, wouldn’t you say? Animals don’t usually like blood suckers.”

I pursed my lips. "I dont know, that cat was out for blood man. It tried to eat you more than once."

Velaric:

“It was in love!” I proclaimed while laughing.
