I blinked at him, sadness filling my gaze. "Why do you think I got angry at you over it? Why do you think I wanted to kiss you...I like you Velaric...a lot. You can feel my heartbeat, it won't lie to you..."

Velaric:

“Vivian, I know. I know you do. But you’re still too young. Can’t you just wait? You have to stop testing me like this or one or both of us is going to end up dead.” I said seriously.

I looked away from him and closed my eyes, shoulders slumping a bit. "I just thought....nevermind...I wont trouble you over this again." I promised softly.

Velaric:

With a sigh I let go of her and slid across the pod. I didn’t know how to salvage the situation. Doing anything but giving her what she wanted wasn’t going to make her happy.

I didn't look at him, I simply drew my knees up to my chest and looked out into the night and the light garden below us.

Velaric:

Our pod reached the bottom and it stopped. “Do you want to go around another time?” I asked formally.

"I want to fly." I said softly, though I didn't move.

Velaric:

“And how are you going to do that?” I asked, the timer would give us another minute before it started again.

I looked at him, "By flying with wings." I said with the barest hint of a smile.

Valaric:

“Ah.” I said as it dawned on me. “Well then I guess we should get out of here… and I should get as far away from you before you do. I’m prone to burning you know…”

"I know..." I said softly, moving past him to stand in the snow. I tilted my head back towards the sky before turning to look at him. 'I have one favor...it won't hurt you and it won't upset you. Can you toss me up?" I lifted my chin towards the sky to say where I wanted to go.

Velaric:

I looked at her skeptically. “Are you sure you’ll be able to fly? Because I don’t want to have to catch you while you’re on flames….” I said dully.

I gave him a flat look. "You refuse my advances and now you don't trust me. This isn't going well so far Velaric. I would not ask you to do something if I didn't believe I could do it."

Velaric:

“Sometimes we think we can do things that we actually can’t. I just want to be sure, Vivian.” I replied coolly.

I was hurt by all of this and his attitude and questions didn't help me feel any better. I simply turned my back on him and ducked my head.

Velaric:

“I’m sorry Vivian.” I said with a sigh. “This is who I am. You’re upset because you’re seeing that. You had an idea of me that want true, and I’m sorry for that, but this is me.” I felt guilty saying it but I knew it was true. It was hard for someone to truly care for a vampire, around all the extra illusions that were meant to draw them in as prey. She saw my body, heard my voice, smelled my scent, all of which were meant to draw her in, and she made up who I was to match the other things.

A growl came out of my throat as I whirled around to stare at him. "Do you think I am that naive? Do you think you are the first vampire I have been with?" My eyes blazed with fire and lifetimes of years crowded forward. "You don't know a thing about me. You misunderstand who I am. What I am. There is only one of me. There are plenty of you." I said as the snow in a foot around me evaporated in an instant. I drew in a slow breath to calm myself down and while steam still rose as the snow falling from the sky hit me. I wasn't in danger of hurting any of them even the vampire.

Velaric:

“Damn it Vivian! What do you want me to do? How can you be so old that you’ve been with countless beings, and yet so young that you can’t realize you have to wait?” I shot at her in my own anger. “I don’t think I can be around you anymore if you keep being like this.”

Vivian:

I growled my frustrations softly in the air. "I can't win either way!" I said before turning and storming off away from him. I didn't even look towards Sphinx and Tabitha as I moved past them each step melting the snow beneath me.

Velaric:

I could have caught her easily if I wanted to, but I didn’t think that would help the situation. “Goddamnit.” I said, turing around to power down the ferris wheel.

Sphinx:

I blinked looking one way toward where Vivian was going, then back towards Velaric. "Any idea what might have just happened?"

“She seems to have a short temper, and he seems to mess up a lot.” I shrugged. “Possibly a rehash of what happened earlier?”

"Probably, though I still wonder what just happened...." I considered as I turned my eyes to look towards Velaric.

I followed his gaze but the vampire was gone, which was kind of inconvenient because he was our ride. “Should we… do something?” I asked with a frown glancing between where Velaric had disappeared, and where Vivian had gone.

I let out a soft breath. "I am not sure...things like this...I feel like it might work itself out someway."
