hm weird me....hell yes (open)

I cursed and rushed to the edge, my heart in my throat. I let out a relieved breath when I saw she was on a ledge but this presented its own set of problems. "Ah hell..." I murmured and leaned down to watch her. "Jemma are you alright?"

 

I sighed softly as I heard she was okay. "Damn...well...how on earth am I going to get you free..." I murmured softly to myself. "Hold on a second and I'll get you out of there okay?"

 

I thought for a long moment before reaching through the shadows and pulling out everything I would need. First came a harness for her to step into. Second was a rope that I attached to the harness. After that, I added a long sleeve shirt for her to pull on to protect her skin while I pulled her up. I lowered it all down at the end of the rope explaining my plan.

 

"You are going to have to climb a bit yourself, I can't tell how the wall looks for handholds and foot holds but just do your best." I called before I started to pull her up. My muscles worked and strained under my skin as hand over hand I pulled the rope and her up.

Jemma:

I was only able to pull my self up with my hands, my legs were surprisingly weak. I pulled myself up over the edge when he got me close enough and rolled over on the ground. "I'm sorry." I said through puffing breath's.

"You are okay.". I puffed removing my shirt to wipe my face off from sweat. " Anyone ever say you need to lose some weight?"

 

I considered that, I considered that for a long moment. "Worth it, you could lose some weight Jemma." I said before curling up defensively with a smile curling my lips.

 

I chuckled softly and sat up to lean over her. "There is the Jemma I remember...growly and grumbly."

Jemma:

I looked at his face then up at the darkening sky. "I'm not sure I like myself through your eyes." I said quietly.

I frowned at that and followed her gaze, easing myself back down to the earth. "It's what I'm used too from you. I don't see you as a gooey, bubbly, bright ray of sunshine kind of person. I see you as a strong, independent person. Who has had much happen in your life. I don't care about what you show the world. I want to know and see the girl inside. Because that is the one that I am going to fall for." I searched with my hand until I found hers.

Jemma:

I squeezed his hand then rolled to my side facing him. "I'm not sure how to let go..." I said after a long moment of silence. "I told Adam I forgave him, but I don't think I have. And now I can't push it out of my mind like I did before. It's so fresh in my mind... I don't know who I am anymore..."

I rolled to face her, lifting my free hand to cup her cheek. "You are Jemma. You are the woman strong enough to have survived with your sanity after everything you gone through." I gave her a gentle smile. "You are always you, never let anyone else dictate who you are."

Jemma:

"But I don't have a purpose anymore..." I murmured quietly, leaning my face into his hand.

"Am I not enough? What about raising Kai and Kat? They might be independent but you saw how Kat was...if she did pass Kai needs you. If not...he is still going to need you.". I told her softly still stroking her cheek.

 

"Then what do you want to do? What have you ever dreamed of doing but never had the chance.". I told her softly. " figure it out and We can go try it."

 

I sighed softly and flopped onto my back. "Ah...well, once you know...let me know okay? I'm here to help." I closed my eyes and let my thoughts wander.

 

"It isn't...but...I think in the end you will be worth every effort I put into it." I admitted softly as I rolled onto my side again and gently tried to pull her closer.
